Interesting conversation this week...

So what we have learned is that fox would rather have a qb that throws ten ints a game as long as he's intense instead of a laid back qb that does nothing but win games. If you need any more proof that fox is the dumbest hc in the history of the nfl here it is. Btw, don't you guys love the intensity of eli manning? That's the only reason the giants won the super bowl

Another insightful comment from the king of the trolls.:D

Zod might eventually but that would A. stop the debate and after all he is about stirring controversy and posting counts, not resolving issues, and B. even then he is clearly a big time moore supporter so it wouldn't necessarily indicate it is the truth just his perceptions given his feelings already.

Having you and I go back and forth for 10 pages is the point of the message board and why he posts the things he does.

I thought that was elementary, Watson.

This^ is exactly what I thought when you and the OP started keyboard sparring :D

Are you really questioning Droopy Manning?

rutgers produced smith. not cali... he may be from there, but his talent flourished when he went to rutgers. he may say he learned a lot from his high school coach, but his real talent came from playing in an offense opposite of chad ochocinco.

What Smith are you talking about? Rutgers? I'm confused. He went to Santa Monica Jr. College with Chad and then went to Utah

I can see where might not hve fit in the football players "mold" Fox believes in. But as OP's have brought up, Fox never gave Moore any first team snaps until something or someone "encouraged" this to happen.

Tons of speculation = good for the huddle.

Look at the debate with Del Rio a day or 2 ago, I say he will stay and several jump in with no he won't. I was right then and I am right now. Stop blindly defending him and figure it out. There is a reason he didn't play earlier this year. I know why and Zod told you if you listen. Not being a footballl guy is more than just a personality issue. It is how he responds when challenged. It is how he was okay not starting for so long. How many times do you think he has gone up to Fox or Davidson and said "What do I have to do to be the starter" Where do I need to improve? What do you need to see to know that I am the one?

Honestly I don't know if he has or hasn't for sure but I can guess pretty inteliigently about it. Seriously, f you don't get what I mean then there is no sense in arguing. It is like trying to teach a pig to whistle. It wastes my time and likely just pisses off the pig.

Wait until next training camp when you read about how Moore this offseason did the things I just said he should and is ready to be a starter. How he changed his attitude and increased his intensity. Yeah, I know it will happen.

Actually that is not necessarily true that he didn't get reps with the 1s. He may have needed several weeks of increased repetitions in order to ready when he finally went in in order to play as he did.

To me, this IS more about Fox, sucking the life out of talented players by being true to his Foxball philosophies...You know, we shouldn't be surprised that Fox isn't the most dynamic offensive play caller because he is a glorified defensive coordinator.

And of course you would say that as a bonafide Fox hater.:D

Look at his interviews, he says even now that he is just going to go out there and do his best and if he plays fine, if not, then thats okay too. Sure it is the thing to say to get along but here is what i wish he would say.

I am going to do everything i can in the off season to work on every part of my game to make sure I am the best I can be next year. I respect Jake and look forward to competing with him for the starter job. I like the competition and look forward to working harder than ever this year.

Yeah, A big difference.

He actually seems to be looking forward to "putting up a lot of points" and helping the team to win next year (3:05). He knows people will talk but look at his record. People can say what they want.

As I agree that Moore obviously carried himself in a way that was not pleasing to Fox, hell it might not have been pleasing to any head coach. It appears as though Moore was on a shorter leash in practice than Jake was in a game.

Hate is such a strong word. I used to be down with the guy 5 years ago---when it was all still new---but history has proven that Foxball can't get it done.

The "game manager" philosophy is a failure if you want to have championships. You gotta be willing to let your guy air it out when appropriate...have that killer instinct (or, even a mean streak, like Belichick). Time for a new era in Panther land. Let Fox take his Foxball Bible elsewhere.

And watch it evolve as the offseason continues or at least I hope it does. I hoe that Rip work s with him and helps him develop more of a killer instinct. After all if your leader lacks one, how will it develop?
