Interesting conversation this week...

Not even close. What the guy confirmed is that moore has been holding himself back by not preparing adequately and taking things seriously. Football is a vicious intense sport that requires passion desire and a killer instinct. Look at any sport, the guys who rise to the top are the ones that are intense, driven, and do what it takes to be the best. Right now Moore has not demonstrated it. It takes more than talent to succeed in this league. Jamarcus Russell has talent but that isn't nearly enough.

So you think that we need to bring some more blood in here to battle for the job as much as I do, huh?

Joe Montana was the most laid back QB evah, on and off the field. Not comparing, just sayin'...

No way. You must be talking about Joe Montayna. Joe Montana was extreme competitive and wanted to win in the worst way. He always found a way to get things done. Being cool under pressure and in control is a far cry from being laid back and seemingly uncaring.

Competition can only help. Maybe we need to hire Vinny to come in as a consultant for Moore to help him get his head straight. Moore has the tools now he just needs the fire. He obviously wants to be good at some level or you don't make it this far. I just wish he had Jake's intensity to go along with Moore's arm and legs.

No, Fox did that this year. You are doing your standard thing where everthing justifies Fox's stupid decisions.

Sure Moore needs to work on things.......but just like in 07 with DeAngleo ,even with work needing to be done, guys should have been on the field long before Fox does it.

Every guy is different......Moore has demonstrated he wins. That is what matters.....sitting a guy b/c you don't like his "intensity" despite his ability and winning is stupid. Phillip Rivers, Brett Favre and Eli Manning all bring a completely different intensity and attitude to the game. You can't take an Eli Manning expect him to act like Peyton personality wise.

Who cares if Moore is laid back and isn't Mr. Serious.....the guy wins. It was obvious he should have replaced Jake weeks prior.....but Fox is flawed and this supports it.

but keep on twisting everything to defend Fox.

That's what I mean. I was a 49er fan at the time of Joe . He was Joe Cool for a reason.

so you are saying Moore doesn't want to win and isn't extremely competitive? Moore has played at a high level in MUTLTIPLE sports. To imply he isn't dedicated and has drive is laughable. Moore obviously has found ways to get things done (6-2).

You can tell Fox doesn't like Moore just by watching him on the sidelines. When Jake throws a TD pass, Fox is beside himself jumping up and down, clapping his hands, and screaming.

When Moore throws a TD pass, he just looks irritated, and with good reason. It makes him look stupid. This is very evident in the Vikings game.

Just like you twist everything to blame Fox. I told you before that Moore has done little outside of the actually game situation to justify him starting which is why he languished on the bench. This proves I was right. Now to your point. Perhaps Fox will play him and let him start because he now knows that while Moore doesn't have an intense attitude and isn't a prototypical football player, per se, he is a gamer and gets the job done which is also what I have said well before this thread got started. And we all agree that is the most important part. Cartainly Fox has made aloowance for talented guys who lack intensity like Peppers.

My point is that Moore now has the ball in his court to do the best of both worlds. Increase his desire and intensity, practice harder, watch film more intently and allows those actions to help him be even better on the filed than he is now. After all he plays the most important position on the field and needs to be intense and driven for it to be reflected in his offense.

I also said he has to be competitive or he wouldn't be a professional player but the same could be said about Jarrett. Everyone at this level is competitive and wants to win, the guys who actually do are the ones who wants it more than the next guy.

How do you know Moore did little to justify him starting? Jake Delhomme was continously laying eggs week after week yet Fox kept saying he gives us the best chance to win. If anything this shows that the only reason Fox started Jake is because Moore was relaxed whereas Jake wore his heart on his sleeve. And that is one of the most idiotic reasons a coach can give for continously starting an inept player.
