Just speculating... I wouldn't be surprised if Frank or Fitt is fired soon. Very soon.

When you arE coerced into taking a quarterback in the draft that you did not want, how would you feel? I’m not a fan of Reich, but working for Tepper  has to be the low point of a career.

He worked for Irsay. Which that guy has an excuse he's always drunk or on drugs. Tepper has no excuse for his incompetence

You need to do them both at the same time, whenever that is. Because if you fire Fitt, then Frank might not be the new GM's preferred coach and you're already starting off a new regime on a wonky foot.

You fire them both, hire the GM first, then let the GM make the coaching hire.

You can let Frank float to the end of the year while the new GM gets plenty of work in and the new coach search is underway. Frank not letting go of playcalling should be the line of firing at this point.

I do agree the new GM shouldn't be foreced to work with Frank and I would hope he has some serious connections he wants to work with.

I think Fitt is guaranteed to lose his job if it keeps getting worse.
Reich on the other hand I worry that Tepper will “be patient” and once again not chop off a rotting limb even though it is what is good for the team.
Some people may say coaches deserve two years at least and honestly if we were 0-5 and had our number one pick I would agree with you. But we don’t.
Reich is more Hackett than Zac Taylor. Even though it looks like Bengals fans patience with Taylor is running out as well.

Yeah, that's true. That might actually be the best scenario. Definitely would want the new GM to have a chance to pick his own guy - Frank or not - heading into next year though.

We had Tepper being at practice with Dan Morgan.  Didn't see mention of Fitt being there with him in his immediate presence.  I think that's sending a message.

We also had Bailey's reports that Tepper isn't happy and seats are getting really hot as a result, and that changes could be made soon.

Again, considering the epic levels of humiliation currently cooking up in our smorgasbord of fug ups that has been the Tepper Era, it's obvious Tepper is getting restless...  and this tree topper of a doozy - trading for the #1 pick then becoming the worst team in football - will be hard to live down, and thus someone will have to pay.

I give all of this info to lead me to my point of what I found to be further symptoms of the inevitable impending head rolling - Reich's Presser.  Local news in Raleigh did a cut up of his presser and he said belief like 10 times or more.  It's like he decided to latch on to some nebulous concept as a way to demonstrate "we're on the right path," even if you can't see it.  Sound familiar?  Yes.  It sounded eerily similar to Rhule's last stretch of post-game pressers before he was canned.  Reich seems to feel the heat, and you better believe when a coach starts telling you about all of the intangible things that make their team special when there isn't an inkling of that translating to the field, then they're already placing their head firmly in the sacrifical guillotine.

I'm not sure if it happens this week, but I wouldn't be surprised.  And if not this week, I'm sure one of Fitt or Reich is gone after we lose to Miami.

Every year we hear "Oh Tepper's gettin mad, something's gonna happen". It's old. If he's mad he needs to realize he ain't cut out for this business and GTFO.

Miami will hang 50 on us like I said Detroit will hang 40 on us.

I doubt it, but if any is let go it’s Frank. I don’t think Fitt is anywhere near as close to being fired as we think.

I would put my money just the opposite right now.  Frank will get this season baring being 0-10 in which case he's toast. Fitterer is front and center over the roster issues. That was made clear when Frank was hired.

to FITTs credit....FRANK is not playing his guys correctly.

CHINN GOT 18 snaps!!!!

SMITH-MARSETTE hasn't seen the field as a WR, and might be one the best route runners we have(creates the most separation out of all the WRs on the roster yet hasn't taken a snap at WR.

Tepper needs to fire himself from involvement in football related decisions first. It's pretty obvious he's clueless about football and as long as he demands to interject himself into these matters this is going to continue to be a clown show of epic proportions.  The deeper we get into the Tepper era the worse it gets.

Ya know. I would like some unequivocal proof that Tepper meddles and is the reason we have no first round pick and a QB only 3 inches taller than me.
I know there are bits and pieces that suggest he meddles but I would love an actual article that said, “Tepper forced FO to draft Bryce and trade first pick.”

Tepper needs to be an owner in the background.
While JR influenced firings and hirings he always let the football people be football people.
The GM fired the HCs and JR fired the GMs and during the coaching search he let the GM take the lead, as he should.
While JR may of been a perv he did one thing right and that was stay out of the way of the team.
Tepper needs to do that or at least try it once and see if it works.
Because I don’t trust Teppers ability to hire the right people.
He’s failed ever single time.

I think Fitt needs to go first. This roster has no depth and very little talent.

And I gave him the benefit of the doubt as most reports were that Rhule had total control, but wow what a terrible host of moves Ftts has made since Rhule got fired.

    • I don't really like the phrase, "moral victory". I get what's meant by it, but does that mean that if you do the opposite (play poorly but win) it's an immoral victory? 🤔
    • I blame Evero because he is overrated. Vance Joseph created the defense in Denver that he took credit for. Wilks ran the ball down his throat and Darnold had a 103.8 rtg.  Last year we were decent in yards allowed, and horrible in everything else. Only reason? We kept giving up good field position.  He's had his choice of players to bring in since his scheme is so "complicated." Maybe he should stop trying to be so fancy like running Cover 4 on 3rd and 1 earlier and focus on fundamentals like tackling. These years of Eric Washington, Phil Snow, and Evero must have gotten you confused on what a real defense looked like. Go back and watch the McDermott and Wilks years- this dude is sofT.
    • I tried to make it a point in the opening post that I don't think the offense is a finished product. I think we still need more talent at WR, better play calling, catch more consistently, elimate ridiculous penalties,  and be more consistency in scoring points. I'm just saying, they look markedly better than last year imo. They have scored 20 or more in 6 games and 30 or more in 2 games. And that's particularly notable considering they only mustered 10 points and 3 points in first 2 games of this year and they got blanked on 0 points two games in a row to wrap up last season . I'd say that's a market improvement.  I'm not crowning them and saying we have a top 10 offense or anything.  I'm comparing them to themselves in recent history.
