Dude- Drag his ass to the Panthers game. He will thank you later.

Panthers are on TV....but that's not why he boosted the hockey tickets. He's got himself worked up that we're sitting too high up. Oh and the older one, during the interrogation informed me that the only reason he was going was because I bought a ticket.

Couple of fuging ingrates I have for sons. Never again. When I try for some Fenway tickets for the summer it will be me and the wife going....they can sit on their asses at grandma's house.

I was going to make a joke about stealing your tickets to help you out and then feeling bad and returning them til I read your last post.

Look at the bright side: He confessed. A lot of kids wouldn't. And at least he had a semi-decent reason if he is scared of heights.

About the 17 year-old, I know it hurts a little that he isn't ape-poo over spending time with the family, but he will learn in time how golden those moments are. Chances are he will look back on the trip fondly later in life.

I'm glad the tickets turned up and dismayed at the same time at how it turned out. I'm with you, the lying part would have bothered me much, much more than the tickets disappearing. I know it hurts that it was the younger one, but just think about his motivation for doing it - he really must be terrified to sit that high up.

It's tough when you try to do something special for the family only to have it blow up in your face. Been there, done that. Some times you think you're doing something great for your kids when they don't give a crap. Then no one ends up being happy.

I understand you being pissed....

My son keeps asking about going to a Panthers game, and I have told him only when he can appreciate it.

Reminds me when I brought him home a KTM Senior Pro50 dirtbike. Bad ass bike, I would have died for it when I was a kid. He was like; "but its not red"

I was like WHAAAATTTT.....

If there would have been any other kid outside they would have gotten a motorcycle.

It sucks when you go out of your way for your kids and they done appreciate it.

Yeah, but he let his brother swing by the same rope for 3.5 hours before he admitted it. I tried to guilt the living hell out of both of them because I didn't really know which one did it. Laid the whole "do you really care that little about your brother that you'd let him get punished for something you did rather than just being honest and saying it was you?" Frickin' kids....no reaction.

Funny thing was, he was really into it. Not the first hockey game we'd ever gone to but girlfriends are all he cares about now, so of course he gave me hell about going...until he got there.

I don't even get that to be honest with ya...we've sat in the upper deck at BofA, sat in the upper bowl at Notre Dame, upper level at the same exact hockey arena we went to over the weekend. And really, he was pretty much ok with it once we got there. Said he actually liked sitting there even though he likes being down low more. I don't know if the kids at school knew about his fear and got him all worked up or what.

It sucks when you go out of your way for your kids and they done appreciate it.

I think gets just get way too much these days...maddening.

Oh...and for everyone who told me I should eat the $250 the hockey tickets cost me and stay home to watch the Panthers game.....

Flyers 4 - Maple Queefs 1

(Wife and kids, happy)

If we'd have stayed home, much depression at the Panthers getting their asses handed to them and afterwards, me very possibly scouring the Internet for a couple replacement remote controls.

I think I made the smart choice. :D

PS - The slingbox on the cellphone worked pretty well. Not looking forward to the bill though.
