CJ couldn't even outplay my Ridder at QB which is why he struggled to score against one of the worst secondary defense in the league. Bryce played better against a much tougher Lions defense. Bryce with no breakaway receivers yet managed to pass over 200 plus yards, more than your Goff, for those who are obsessed with passing yards.

Call me crazy, but I still don’t think Young is a miss. Even Peyton Manning had a bad rookie year. Bryce is playing with an awful team and with awful coaching.

That's why we need to go ahead and get rid of Frank and Fitt. They serve no purpose if Bryce is our franchise QB. See what we have in Evero. If that doesn't work at least we tried someone else.

We need to hire a GM who is respected or has come from a winning culture. Im tired of these bad hires that Tepper makes. The GM needs to have full control of roster and coaching hires. Tepper is bad at those decisions.

I said leading up to the draft that I was fine with Bryce, Stroud, or Richardson. I personally ranked them Richardson, Stroud, Bryce, but whatever. I had confidence in this staff to identify and develop the right one.

Well, fug

Me too. I was absolutely worried about Bryce not having the physical tools but I’ve been wanted a rookie stud so bad since we didn’t tank in 2000 and went through a carousel of shitty QBs. I thought we had plenty of experience to develop a QB even if Reich wasn’t my first choice. I definitely don’t feel good anymore.

I will say that I’ve been 100% right about the tank approach/the draft/not wanting Hurney 2.0 to stay/not wanting Fitterer to stay. So many obvious things that we, the huddle draftniks, saw that our so called GMs did not see and fuged up draft after draft. I know as a casual draft tan, I would have a much deeper and better team right now if I was the GM and I don’t care what the you aren’t an NFL employee people say. They were wrong.

We won’t know that for a while or ever TBH. I do know that all the other number 1 picks that had bad starts did not have Bryce’s physical limitations so it’s certainly not a given that he turns into Peyton Manning.

I hope he does but we still need a real GM and probably better coaching that may not be on the current staff.

I ain't even mad. I expected that they would lose early on. What I didn't expect was the team to look so bad. They play as if they never practice.  This is some of the worst game planning and play calling I've seen this team make.

I think you are just feeling the cumulative effect. They've been bad the entire time. When they didn't look like a real NFL team in preseason, most people scoffed and said "blah blah blah we're talking about practice?" and then when they looked bad against Atlanta it was "1st game jitters, and Atlanta is supposed to be pretty good, and it was on the road too."

They've been the same crummy, awful team from the beginning.

The Evero hype took a big hit today. It's probably completely gone after next week.

In his defense there isn’t much to work with. We were down to Wooten at MLB, Franklin, and Jamison at CB. Some guy named Bootle got a tackle but maybe he was special teams. Oh and the offense turned it over 3 times on the road.

Evero or Thomas Brown. I don't care who it is as long as it's not Frank the tank!

We should have hired Wilks but that's a story for another day...

At least let Brown call plays and do his job. Frank is too stubborn and not good at play calling.

What pisses me off the most was the “all star cast” we were putting together coaching wise. All I kept hearing about was how much “experience” and “knowledge” all our coaches had. Over 70 years of NFL experience. Where the hell is that? That is what pisses me off the most. This coaching staff has shown nothing but being the worst in the league.

About this team and I don't care.

I was wrong and _______________ was right (go ahead and quote this and put your name in the blank).

I won't ever apologize for taking advantage of a rare moment to be optimistic about this team. I'm glad I had that moment. At least I had that because the past 8 years has been pretty miserable. You take what you can get, or at least I do.

But I just don't care anymore. I've gone back to being apathetic like I was with Rhule.

Like I said, I won't apologize for taking advantage of a rare moment to feel optimistic...but I also won't apologize for finding something else to do with my family on Sundays than watch the poo show this team is.

If they can pull it together I might get interested again, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Oh, and I don't care if I get poo from anyone either for being stupid or a bad fan. I probably deserve it, but again, I don't care.

We get the opportunity to play Miami next week. They’re going to be us by 50.

    • Easily. To be able to plug in a backup LT without much drop off from your starter? That could mean the difference between playoffs or sitting at home in January. Good/serviceable smart young and healthy LTs that won’t lose you a ball game at reasonable $$ don’t just come along every day. Everyone talks about the most important positions on a football team… backup LT is in the top 10.  Picture next year… the team is scrappy and competitive, 4 and 3 record, second place in the South. Morale is good. devastating run game that Let’s our marginal defense get plenty of rest. We play the Bucs and win, going to 5 and 3, but we lose Ickey to a high ankle sprain. Atl loses that week and are now at 5 and 3 as well. There is no Ickey and no BC because we let him go… and we go in to Atl the next week for a battle of first in the south. Week after that is the Jets…. Now they lose both by 10 and 3, respectively, and fall to 5 and 5 going in to their bye week. Atl is at 7 and 3. Out of typical Panthers desperation, they try to rush Ickey back in to the lineup with a saints game coming up…  Back to good old Panthers football, always playing catchup. Another season at .500 and the fans sadly rejoice in mediocrity, when playoffs were in reach. This team always overestimates its ability to pick up quality o line depth in the draft or FA and it always blows up in their faces. Like Chuba, I see him as being part of the core that Dan is trying to build. Work on his contract now and see if we can come out with something mutually beneficial. I’d consider 3 yrs at $25m to be very fair.
    • it would be great to have "double trouble" again, I even had a T- shirt for Williams and Stewart and the double trouble logo, was a great time to be Panthers fan. We shall see...
    • Sounds like a plan. Those are the teams we should be mimicking! lol
