NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO TRADE BURNS.

Keep him. Tag him. Let the next GM determine whether to resign him or trade him.

I don’t trust Fitt to get proper compensation. I also don’t trust him with any picks.

He should be barred from trading anyone.

And if you have to bar him, go ahead and fire him.

So tepper can get it out of the way and just appoint himself gm?

He's got 4 sacks, 5 tfl, 1 ff, 8 qb hits and 15 pressures in 5 games but oh noes he's playing bad.

Omfg

So what's his position?  He isn't a DE, he can't contain or stop the run.  Is he an OLB??  Can he cover?

Burns is a disruptor, no argument there, but teams know he can't stop the run and teams that can run the ball have a field day running to his side.  Double Brown and run where Burns is lined up.  He doesn't even stand up the OL blocking him to at least slow the run down and at the very worst he tackles air like he did today.

He is not worth $30M.  If we could get a 1st and 3rd at this point we should take it.

He’s worth more to this team than what we could get in return.

Just keep trading away what ever talented players we have left until the team is nothing but free agent flops and draft busts.

He's really not - we're going 0-17.

This is hilarious.

He's got his best grade ever from pff so far this season and he's not worth what he was last year.

He is worth far less because his contract is about to be up. No one needs to offer a lot for him. We will end up franchising him and then likely having to move him at a very reduced rate just to get anything at all.

    • Panthers are clearly not worried about cap space so why are we?
    • Other than being the offseason and there isn't much to talk about, why does anyone worry about the cap? We can do whatever we want and still have cap space. You don't think the front office hasn't already figured it out and what they intend to do. Me I am just sitting back and watching. After all my job isn't on the line if we lose. Although at my age we don't have forever if I am going to live to see us play in another superbowl
    • I get the TD's and I pointed it out, but like I said, when Burrow had more than double the TD's than Geno had, I think Higgins increased TDs compared to DK was more a product of Burrow and the Bengals offense than because of him vs DK as WRs. When one of their QB's finished 4th in MVP voting despite missing the playoffs and the other was just traded for a late 3rd round pick and replaced by Sam Darnold, I think that's a tough narrative to brush aside to just look at raw stats as well. Again, swap DK and Higgins last year, do you honestly believe DK wouldn't have put up better stats than Higgins did? Contracts and trade compensation aside, I'm taking DK over Higgins 100 out of 100 times, there is no debate about it for me.
