9ers are a better organization in every aspect and put their players in position to succeed. The players buy into that system and perform better.

Remember what the 9ers gave up to get Lance? Lol...the dude like never even played. And you never even hear about how "bad" that trade was.

Because they're winning. Every team makes some dumb moves. Even colossally dumb moves. It doesn't matter if you win. The old saying "winning fixes everything" is 100% true because at the end of the day that's all that matters. No one beats you up for the mistakes you're bound to make on the way if you're winning because the point of all these moves is to produce a winner.

First off, the poster you are replying to is wrong. Kyle never trusted Trey enough to give him enough playing time even in the first unit during scrimmage. He always gave them to Jimmy G even when he is not 100% healthy. Even Kyle stated he failed him. Granted, Trey was a raw low floor QB with a super high ceiling prospect that would be best going to a rebuilding team as opposed to a win now SB team. In a way, Bryce was the most ready to start high floored QB that can step right and run Kyle's highly complex playbook to win for the 49ers RIGHT NOW while we would be much better off with Trey who needs playing time experience to take advantage of his athletic abilities with that gifted cannon arm that can toss 70 yards bombs with ease. Then again we could have gotten him for a measly 4th round pick like Dallas had done like WoW!!!!

Why didn't we give the 49ers a 4th round pick to have Trey on our tr then an over the hill ginger who has NO future on this club and you know it.

Trey Lance is a complete bust. All trading a 4th for him would've accomplished is pissing away a 4th.

WoW are you that narrow minded to claimed that a raw QB with a high ceiling is a bust cause Kyle cannot afford to let him start on a SB contender to he can learn. They needed a POLISH QB where Purdy had 4 years of college playing experience compared to only one season for Trey. Playing time makes a difference even in college. NOW Sam D is a bust cause he was given 3 years as a starter on the Jets to admit publicly he sees ghost in the NFL yet we foolishly gave them a high 2nd round pick for a known bust then a 4th round for a raw QB who needs playing time?!? I stated this the moment the trade went down that he was a proven bust. Not Trey who was still an unknown commodity.

And for those who like strong arms, Trey arm is stronger than both Sam and CJ. If he arm wrestle with them, he would win most of the time with ease. You seem to be clueless when it comes to judging who are bust or not.

Lance has all the physical tools you want. But yeah, he's a complete bust. That's why all they could get for him was a 4th. That's way less than the Jets could even get for Darnold. It is what it is, man. Most highly drafted busts have elite physical talent, that's why they were highly drafted to begin with.

You are deluding yourself if you think the Niners didn't do their damnedest to develop this guy after making that trade. He just wasn't it.

So, how was I wrong? They gave a ton of draft capital for a guy who never saw the field. Yet look at the position they've been in the past couple years. The point I was making is that you can still be successful in spite of "bad" trades. You just seem to have some weird hard-on for your boyfriend Mr. Lance, whose honor you have to defend even though it was never the topic of conversation.

So in your opinion, Trey can only get a measly 4th round means he is a complete bust while your ghost passer was still less of a bust cause he was worth 3 picks including a 2nd round pick because the Jets GM played our GM like a fool when no other team would offer even close to that. The 49ers got him for free this season cause our GM couldn't even unload him for a measly 7th round pick when they traded for Baker. Your logic make so much sense!

What are you talking about? There literally wasn't a poster on this forum more against that Sam Darnold trade than me. They're just of a similar mold. They both have high level physical talent but they're not QBs. Lance is a bust. Sorry, man. I get it, we all like prospects in drafts that end up busting. It is what it is. It happens to coaches and scouts and GMs too. Don't feel bad about it. But don't be in delusional denial either.
