Besides that, what's 1000? Really Cunningham had 942 in 1990. He's got almost 5k yards for his career. So yes, Jake > Dog Hater but Cunningham is > than both Jake and Dog Hater frankly put together with one arm tied behind his back and no left ankle.

i agree cunningham is greater than both.

i keep seeing vick is dumb, dumb dumb, to dumb to be a qb. but is that all that makes a good qb? granted vick scored a 20 on his wonderlic which is average,i dont think average is dumb. the qb position is prob about 60% mental,40%other. while its huge to be smart i think u can make it with out being manning like. highest qb wonderlic score goes to fitzpatrick a harvard grad with a 48. if it was all whats between ur head he'd be drew brees or manning. so lets be fair and let it be known qb is a combination of brains and skill.

You don't think average is dumb? I'm disappointed in you Mr. Micnificent, you seemed like the type to strive for above average intelligence. Oh well, I'm sure you're doing fine with the "40% other."

i think you've done enough to let us know you aren't quite there yet.

on second thought i cant let that slide. were talking about nfl qb intelligence. that has nothing to do with me. as far as u know i could be a sales person or a college professor. thus proving a again u sir are nothing but a h.a.t.e.r.

how would you know?

What. You're defending him now?

Make up your mind rayzor. Please.

He's having a problem (1) defining exactly what he's trying to argue about because he just keeps arguing no matter what is said and (2) doesn't seem to realize that a player's actions in his life affect his career on the football field and always will.

If the Panthers had won SB 38, Delhomme would have been the MVP. Vick has had some nice highlights during his career, but nothing close to an MVP-worthy performance in the SB.

but we didnt....so that shouldnt work in jakes favor. that like stating if vick didnt go to jail he would have won nfl mvp. vicks whole career has been average. never throwing more picks than touchdowns. so as unspectacular as vick has been...he's never been as bad as jake has been. being bad loses u alot more games than being average.

bad actions off the field affect u on the field, ok i agree. but i d think vick was the biggest bust ever if i listened to the crap most of u come up with. he was drafted number 1 overall and few have said his name with harrington, smith, russell, and leaf.

Name 1 QB that couldn't complete most his passes and only ran who won a Super Bowl or whose team consistantly won?

Hint: There is none

thats the thing running is his biggest strength, but he does pass well enuff to send alge crumpler to the pro bowl. its impossible to win the super bowl without passing,if ur arguing that a "mobile qb" hasnt won a super bowl. thats because"mobile qbs" just started to get a chance to be at the position. if all qbs are pocket passers before the 90's guess what? i think most of the super bowl winners will be pocket passers. people said the same thing about black head coaches winning the super bowl, but in the last few seasons theirs been 2. not to make this a race thing but the more names u have in the pot the better chances u have to win.

No i said WHO COULD NOTTTTT COMPLETE MOST OF HIS PASS AND WHO ONLY RAN. Look up his completion percentages. They are God awful. He is a terrible passer.

    • There's some big assumptions in here - first, I think Canales HAS helped Bryce a poo ton. To pretend he hasn't is asinine. Has he fixed him?  I mean, the dude looks like he could perhaps be a backup or low-end starter now, whereas he looked like he didn't belong in the NFL a year ago. You're talking about a coach that brought one of the worst NFL QBs of all time to a point where he may actually be a low-end starter. That IS impressive. Second, the bolded. Come on - given the offense, the dude is far from "trending towards bust." He definitely needs work but he's shown an impressive ability to get open. He's contributing to an anemic offense. The dude is our leading receiver (though he'll be #2 in yardage by end of season by a little, as Thielen does better per game).  As to his coaching, he had this team competing and believing against 3 of the better teams in the NFL, despite the lack of talent, and despite our QB situation.  Yes, things fell apart vs DAL, and he was outcoached. But that will happen with young coaches IMO.  I don't think it indicates he cant' be better. The idea of "pulling off the bandage" is ridiculous. Who would want to coach here if we fired this guy after one season?
    • Whatever they are in totality the cowboys are beat up all to hell on both sides of the ball and even that was too much for lil Bryce to overcome.  Bryce defenders have to hype up every other team and trash every other part of the panthers just because of the situation they’ve put themselves in.
    • JB had a first round grade in the eyes of a lot scouts based on HIS TALENT LEVEL. If not for the injury he would have gone higher in the draft, possibly between the middle and the end of round 1. To get him just before the 50th pick is a steal. He'd be on a 4 year deal. You can't even renegotiate until the end of the season 3. You're basically paying him nothing for 3 seasons. I don't buy into all back are interchangeable. No they're not. You have average backs, good backs, then your great-exceptional backs. The latter category doesn't grow on trees. If a back is special it pays to keep them. The key is knowing the difference between the first two categories and the third one.
