Jake definitely needs bench time especially if he's wearing a panther uniform.

As for Vick he came into this league and excited the crowds and gave some teams fits (us for one) with his legs but soon he was figured out and he became less and less of a problem. The pounding he was taking would have shorted his career anyway.

Vick made the pro bowl for being popular not being great. Vick's future football career will probably not do much more than make him a decent living from here on out.

Jake was a serviceable QB for a few years having the ability to work magic at the end of several close games. He made himself a ton of money and my hats off to him.

I don't think either of them will ever seriously be considered for the HOF.

What he clearly doesn't get (and likely isn't going to get anytime soon) is that there's a difference between being a superior athlete and being a superior quarterback.

Athletically speaking, Vick is gifted. As a quarterback though, he's lacking. And in all likelihood, a big part of that has to do with what's between his ears.

As has been said before, Vick is dumb. Ultra dumb. Mega dumb. Jethro Bodine dumb. Can't find his butt with both hands and a flashlight dumb. You can confirm this by reading his interviews, looking at his life choices, and following the pattern of his apologists continually adding a year to the length of time it took to "really learn the West Coast offense".

You can be a great quarterback without being a superior athlete. But if you haven't got the brains, it's just not going to happen. Coaches can try as hard as they can to tailor the offense so that it minimizes his limitations, but in the end you're better off going with a Matt Ryan or a David Garrard.

I'm not comparing him to Warner and Favre in terms of skill, I'm comparing him in that they revived their careers. Of course they're both better than Jake. Favre brought the Packers franchise out of the crapper and gave it life, and Warner is arguably one of the best post season quarterback of all time.

I'm just saying, it's not too late for him to get a starting job again. and in case I didn't make it clear enough earlier, I DON'T want it to be in Carolina.

Also to the person who said athletic skills/quarterback skills, I couldn't agree more. You can be an athletic freak, and have all the tools required to get the job done, but when it comes down to it you need to make good decisions, which Vick wasn't good at. He'd drop back, take one glance at the field and if his receiver was remotely covered he'd just take off running. He wouldn't give the play time to open up and for his receivers to complete their routes. Plus his accuracy has always been mediocre at best.

Before Vick there was Randall Cunningham. Now if a running QB EVER deserved to be inducted, Cunningham is the one!

He was exceptional. Vick is just an !asshole.

Jake will be better when it's said and done, and hopefully it's close to being done for our friend Jake.

ur arguement is based off ur personal opinion,and no proof at all. vick has had lots of programs that have helped kids in atl before dog fighting.ones i know for sure are the ones that give backpacks to kids who cant afford them and the micheal vick foundation. vicks won awards for giving back to the people of atl thats the reason most still support him. not to mention the micheal vick golf game in his name that gives all cash brought in to poor people in v.a. all of this before dogfighting. i do not agree with dogfighting nor do i think vick is a saint.with that said even president clinton has had a scandal he's not proud off, and is still respected for what hes done from his peers. the fact that u cant get over one mans mistakes and short comings shows ur either jesus because,u are perfect or ur a hater. choose which one fits for u:-)

i know most of us are tired of talking about vick and this isnt about bringing him here to carolina.with that said and done.....this is just a shot at pantherdude who in his mind thinks jake delhomme has had a better career than vick will when its all said and done.even at this point jakes had what one pro bowl to vicks what 3 or 4...whos accounted for more touchdown????whos accounted for more ints???? whos won more games.....At one point i would have said jake was more accurate than vick but i def wouldnt state that now. vick the first qb to rush for 1000.jake the first to qb to eat a bucket of bojangles chicken i dont know lol.again this is not about how much u all hate vick or dog fighting just on the football field.
