This usually only counts either last year's number of only includes those under contract for the upcoming year and as such are highly inaccurate. Just including 3 players next year who are free agents, Peppers, Moore and Davis will add another 25 million to our salaries.

We were 12th at 112 million. Saints were 4th at 121 million

It's funny how people rag on Jerry Jones for throwing around money, yet he's at the bottom of the league and in the Playoffs.

Keep in mind that these are salaries or actual money paid out not cap figures. If for example we sign Peppers longterm and pay him a 30 million signing bonus, his cap number could be 10 or 11 million but his salary for 2010 would be over 30 million which would shoot up our numbers into the top 5. Dallas didn't sign big names in 2009. If he does in 2010, that number could be very different.
