Is Kurt Warner a HOFer???

Kurt Warner had a Jake Delhomme season in 2002. If anything stops him from going, it will be his injuries, possibly his 100+ career fumbles. It took him years to get back in the groove after his hand injury. He should get in based on his postseason exploits alone: 8-3 all time in the post season; 1-2 record in Super Bowls; 95.9 rating in Super Bowls; 104.6 rating in the playoffs; 31:13 TD:Int ratio in the playoffs (along with 2 rushing TDs). He's had exactly one bad playoff game, in 2000, the only year he's been to the playoffs without reaching the SB.

To do what he did last season and this season after being left for dead. He was still to me an iffy call of Holmes making the catch in the end zone away from 2 SB's.

The guy is absolutely amazing.

His playoff td's are around 3rd all time and other guys have played 9 more games.

Definitely. The greatest show on turf was pretty incredible when he was with the Rams. And his renewed success with the Cardinals is equally impressive, considering his age and injuries. If Favre is a lock to get in, I don't see how Warner isn't. He has won the same number of SuperBowls and has tremendous stats. Wouldn't it be ironic if Warner puts the Saints out next week? Eerily similar to last year when Carolina was the heavy favorite playing at home and coming off a bye week.

best 3 SB performances by a qb all time are all warners. what he did in reviving the rams and cards have to be looked at. it wasnt a question after last year, and still isnt, he should be a lock. 31 tds in 12 postseason games now and counting. he could be 2nd or 3rd all time after this year, and do so in about 10 fewer games.

why was this even a question before the year started? why was his previous #s and play not enough? why is it this came up after possibly the greatest perfomance by a QB in a playoff game ever (29-31, 379yards, 5 tds)? are we really surprised warner did this? i wasnt he is a top 5 qb of all time, makes great reads, one of the quickest releases, and makes accurate throws. add in the guy still takes a fair number of hits (hit about 1/3 of the time he dropped back last night), and he is a tough sob.

its unfortunate he had those years in NY that people seam to harp on when questioning him being in the HOF. thats like holding favre's last few shitty packers years against him. the rest of the body of work for both favre and warner gets them in with ease. he is a modern day jonny U. a guy that went undrafted and became one of the best QBs of his generation.

hats off to warner for sticking with it after being a bag boy, and becoming a HOF.
