Why would it be attractive to this organization to let him play out his last year here... if it is completely obvious that both parties want to split after next season. Fire the gun, change is coming regardless, part ways. I don't understand how a team can be inspired by a guy who is just "around."

There is nothing available for Fox now.

He will not leave on his own, he would be an idiot if he did. Who would leave $6.5 million on the table.

Ricardson will not fire Fox this year. If he were going to, he would have already.

I have accepted the reality that Fox is here for 2010. Bill Cowher will not be, nor will any other high assistant.

Fox cost the Panthers the playoffs by sticking with his consistent turn-over machine. Bottom-line.

"Jay, unless something crazy happens here I am coming back to the Carolina Panthers and I will be the coach next year"
