Fox can Void 2010 year

Sounds like typical passive Panthers front office BS. We want to fire you, but we're too big of a bunch of pussies to actually do it, so we'll hope you just go away. Grow a sack JR and make a move!

Most of you are completely forgetting that an NFL team is still a business.

To fire Fox and bring in Cowher, JR would have to pay Fox $6.5M....pay Cowher $10M next year...and likely pay him $10M the following yearwhile there is no football.

In contrast, if Fox voids the last year of his contract they are off the hook for the $6.5M. JR is opening the door for Fox to find another employer. JR may be able to get his new coach...and save himself $6.5M. That is good business.

Kind of like that POS Bob Johnson, huh?

He has put a poo product on the court.....hired one of the most inept managers in Jordan....refuses to move to Charlotte....and now wants to sell the team. But, he is a stand up owner...because he is black.

Wait who's arguing if Bob is a poo owner?

There is still time to fire Fox if he does not go on his own. Allowing him to void his contract may have just been in hopes he would do away without having to pay him. Similar tactic got rid of Trgo.

Don't know why the team would keep a coach they obviously do not want and who knows he has no future here.

Bob Johnson's team is going to the playoff this year. JR's aint. Bob Johnson realized he made a mistake giving Emeka Okafor 80 mill last year and got rid of him after 1 year. JR gives Jake Delhomme 42 mill despite his fanbases objections and after he has 1 of the worst years for a starting QB ever he's gonna bring him back and split the fanbase even more. Bob Johnson was smart enough to get a HOF coach in there to get his franchise going in the right direction and its paying big dividends. Jerry Richardson was stupid enough to get rid of Bill Polian, only to see him build the winningest franchise of the 2000s. Meanwhile the Panthers remain a sub .500 franchise. For every step forward Richardson takes, he always takes 2 steps back, its why we've never had back to back winning seasons in his tenure. Neo-conservative passive owners more concerned about religion dont win in the NFL. The best thing I can say about him as an owner is he takes care of his players genuinely and he managed to get an NFL franchise in NC. Outside of that, I cant call him a winner, I cant act like we didnt have a 1-15 year under his guidance, and I cant act like he knows what good quarterbacking is.

So you ARE actually going to defend Bob Johnson....figures.

The Bobcats hve been a joke every season...they are sneaking around the 8 seed spot again. That is as good as it possibly gets that that team.

However, you must support him because he is black....plain and simple.

Johnson and Jordan are a joke in the NBA....and there is no disputing that.

JR and Fox has taken the Panthers to 3 NFC Championship Games and 1 SB. they had the 2nd best record in the NFL in 2008-09....Johnson has taken the Bobcats nowhere. Yea, I can see how Johnson is superior.

KT...if Johson were white you would be trying to run him out of town....plain and simple.

Its the right move I just don't think its going to work. I have a feeling that we will be in an extremely tough spot next year with a coach that goes 11-5 or 12-4 and makes the playoffs. He will be praised throughout NFL-land for being one of the best coaches in the land and IF there isn't a work stoppage he will get a contract extension with the Panthers...which sucks considering he will probably go 8-8 the following season.

Its a never ending cycle. At some point you have to make a move like the Chargers did and fire a coach that had a great record in order to get someone in there that will do what you want them to CONSISTENTLY.

As far as JR being "off the hook" for 6.5 million bucks...The Carolina Panthers franchise was worth 1 BILLION dollars this time last year. JRs annual player expenses was 124 million dollars (roughly 12% of total value). I don't think that an extra 7 million dollars for one year is too much skin off his back. I think he can manage a 5.5% increase in salary payments...

8 seed is higher than no seed. Face it dude, the pro sports team you work for is the biggest joke in town right now. No one's ever come up to me and said the Bobcats wont get rid of a player because he's married to Bob Johnson's daughter. The Bobcats have given people in this area something be proud of after another dissapointing season by the Panthers. The team had to overachieve at the end of the year just to make .500. Pathetic.

However, you must support him because he is black....plain and simple.

And you wont hold JR accountable for the mediocre owner he is because he's a local white guy. You must support and overhype him because of it.

Johnson and Jordan are a joke in the NBA....and there is no disputing that.

Johnson & Jordan have a playoff team on their hands and a HOF coach working for them. Something Richardson doesnt have right now. Jerry Richardson like his franchise is becoming is pretty much irrelevant to the NFL world.

JR and Fox has taken the Panthers to 3 NFC Championship Games and 1 SB....Johnson has taken the Bobcats nowhere. Yea, I can see how Johnson is superior.

JR has taken the Panthers to 1-15 too, an overall losing record, and no back to back winning seasons. Not to mention the low character guys he's had thru out his franchises 15 years. I dont recall any Bobcats being on trial for murder or beating their wives. No Chris Terrys, Karl Hanktons, or Carruths in the Bobcats franchise history. Its clear Bob values character alot more than Richardson.

KT...if Johson were white you would be trying to run him out of town....plain and simple.

If Richardson were black you wouldnt support him, as that would make the Panthers a black owned business, and we know you'd never spend a dime or work for a business like that. Let alone vote for a black man. LOL.
