Del Rio to USC?

It's a win for Lane Kiffin because he gets a job where

A) Its a great job, one of the best in the country.

and

B) With the looming sanctions he'll be likely be pardoned for his immediate failure.

USC was grasping straws and the first guy they called that didn't say HELL NO was Lane Kiffin. Terrible, but every dynasty has to fall at some point.

Lane Kiffin wont fail, because he has Monte and Ed Ogeron with him. For all people not as crazy about college football as me and others Coach O. is one of the BEST recruiters in the nation. ESPN called him a recruiting ANIMAL and it couldn't be more true. Now if they can get the deal for Norm Chow done the offense will be just as sickening as the defense will be. USC isn't going anywhere anytime soon with this staff, the truth with sanctions (if there are sanctions coming) is that they would be minor sanctions unless there is evidence support USC knew about the benefits the athletes were receiving. Losing Pete Carroll sucks but landing Lane, Monte, Coach O., and hopefully Chow is just freaking amazing. Lane has the fire and swagger to be a young PC he just didn't have the talent yet at UT.

If they get Chow, their coaching staff has actually improved this offseason.

According to Scott Wolfe who has actually been on top of things for once this last week, Chow and SC are in serious talks right now and SC is opening up the checkbook to the tune of 1-1.5 million. If we can get Chow back that would just be sickening.
