Where's the Defense?

I never thought I'd see the day that our Offense would be the one carrying the Team. It seems like the last 5 or 6 games this defense has been as porous as a sieve.

At Atlanta 392 yards and 45 points

At Green Bay 438 yards and 31 points

Tampa Bay 384 yards and 23 points

Denver 292 yards and 10 points (that one wasn't that bad)

At Giants 459 yards and 34 points (this was IMO the worst)

At Saints 417 yards and 31 points

Now I know we won most of these games but I don't think this will hold true during the post season. Against the saints it seemed like our secondary was out of position way to often and this wasn't the first game it seemed that way. Something needs to change IMO if we are to go far in the playoffs.

The Defense lost their MoJo and needs to regain it.

In some games (not all but some) we appear to lose intensity on defense after we get a lead. Is that the co-ordinator, the players or both?

I think Trgovac's system has lost its edge the last couple of seasons. And there are now three very good D coordinators available in Mangini, Crennel, and Marinelli (don't laugh at that one). I wouldn't mind seeing any of them after this season but I wont hold my breath.

An average of 397 a game is what the defense is giving up. You seriously CAN NOT be blaming the offense>?

HAHA, you said "Turdo" and "edge" in the same sentence! i think any appearance of an edge that Turdo might have had was vestigial remains of Del Rio's defense.

he runs a 3-4. we don't have the DL personnel to run that right now. We do have a lot of LBers though.
