Moore confident about return

"We'll deal with that next (summer)," he said. "If I'm on the field, I'm going to give it my best shot regardless of when that is.

"There are quality guys in that quarterback room. That stuff will all unfold next (summer). I'll show up to training camp, play when I play and won't play when they (the coaches) tell me to sit. There are no expectations."

Matt Moore is set to be a restricted free agent, but he doesn't talk like a guy who plans on being anywhere else.

The tone of the article in general is more of the same from the official site. While there's what I would consider a tip of the hat to Delhomme's prior career, in general there's acknowledgment that his best years are behind him. All the hype and positivity is found in the paragraphs discussing Moore.

Granted, a lot could change between now and then, but my expectation right now is that Moore will start next season. Barring a restructure, Delhomme will be the league's most expensive backup.

Or Jake still could get cut.

I like Moore for next year. We just need to find a capable receiver.

Jake either restructures for a typical VET back-up Contract (like a John Kitna, Mark Brunell)...I maybe to generous...or we cut him. If not, we draft a QB in the 2nd-4th rounds and pick up a still young experienced type.

lol what the hell is a "still young experienced type"

"here you go matt, learn what you can from Alex Smith"

No...haha...I mean having a Chris Redman type as our crappy 3rd string while Moore is starting with a reliable backup if (all hells breaks)

Matt can learn through starting more games. ;)
