Before everyone gets too excited about Moore...

I dont know for a fact Moore will be the starter

I do know for a fact that Fox wont choose Jake over Matt

I think thats dumb. That would get him fired. But if he feels that way about Jake, why bother coming back under these situations he's now under

If Moore wants to start then earn it everyday not just on Sunday. It is his to win or lose.

As for naming a starter right now that is stupid. You always want to keep everyone in doubt so they compete and push each other. Part of the reason you get lazy quarterbacks like a Jamarcus Russell is they believe they will start no matter what. Naming a starter now will ease some fans anxiety but actually hurt the team in the long run. Don't expect any kind of announcement for the next 6 months.

The Big Cat may be old, but he isn't senile. He didn't get this rich, and get where he is today by making such stupid decisions.

I think he takes a hands off approach until he deems it necessary to do other wise. That is why he hires, or chooses to fire who work for him. That is their job to do, and I really believe he allows them to do it. He isn't Art Davis, or Daniel Deep Pockets Snyder, that want to control every aspect, even on game day on the sidelines.

He's never shown to be that kind of owner.

Wasn't Jake one of the chosen five that spent a weekend at JR's lake house a couple years ago? Another one of those was a starter that also was viewed as lesser than his backup (Foster). Deny it all you want but there is evidence to suggest that he may be getting involved. Does it make sense to you that a history of "stupid decisions" like some have attributed to Fox would go unpunnished? You "believe" but can't prove.

Yeah it is scary to think Fox will still have Jake as #1 going into camp. I just hope JR isn't stupid enough to let that happen.

How often do you see backup QBs come off the bench and have magical "flash in the pan" moments? Often.

I'm not saying Matt Moore didn't play well towards the end (he did) and that he can't continue to be great (I hope he does), but to throw everything away for some guy who may have hit a stride, seems silly (IMO).

If anything I hope this whole thing, wakes up Jake! QBs need to be on their toes, they need to know somebody else is creeping up behind --- ready to take THEIR job! McNabb sort of got himself in gear, when Vick arrived. We need a Vick to get Jake poised and playing better. I hope Moore is our Vick.

He was the starter at the time, stupid analogy.

I don't care if the Pope was one of the chosen five, I don't think JR would make Fox put Jake(or the Pope) out there knowing full well he couldn't get the job done, and until he proves otherwise, he deserves to be where he is at.

Behind the QB that went 4-1 this season, and not the QB that went 4-7 with a starting gig all over again.

Nothing stupid about it. Foster was starting despite the FACT that Williams was putting up better numbers. If your arguement is "Foster was the starter" then that same logic should apply to the QB. You not wantiing to believe it doesn't mean it isn't possible that JR privately made input to player decisions like several other owners do publicly.

Well we will see next year if ol matt can pull through for us...I can name off one that was hot last year but somewhat slacking this year...Matt Cassel. Granted ill give him the benefit of the doubt that his line was garbage and WR's couldn't keep ahold of their balls.
