Man I was just kidding about him on the other thread, Cribbs is a badass and the only thing keeping Cleveland floating. Reminds me of when Reuben Droughns was there except Cribbs is head and shoulders above Droughns. Man if we could get him possibilities/uses would be endless. Prolly too much $$$ though.

He's worth $3 mil easy. Nothing even to think about.

I understand they want to play the whole low-ball thing, but insulting one of your best players is not the way to get things done.

There are some guys you want to keep on a bargain basis, and some guys you pay. Cribbs is a guy you pay and make happy.

Well you would be getting strictly a kick returner for that $3 million.

36 receptions in 5 full seasons, with his career high of 20 this season. Unfortunately that career high was accompanied by a 6.8 average and a long of 35 yards, so he generated 100 yards on 19 catches, not exactly MVP stuff.

The wildcat stuff would be more feasible, although his passing threat is mute, having completed 2 in 9 attempts and having one intercepted. His running IS significant, but I can't see how many running opportunities we would be able to give him with DWill and Stewart in the mix.

He is the best full time kick returner in the league though, but then so was Devin Hester and he also believed he was worth more. I think part of the problem with paying him more, it FORCES you into using them more as an every down player and less at what they excel at. If he gets paid $3 mil, I wonder how long he will want to remain returning kicks.

Munnerlyn a waste?!?! I thought crack was passe'.

:nono:

As a punt returner he has been a waste. Guy almost muffs every other punt.

Someone here has a decent reading comprehension.

No one is saying that Munnerlyn is a bad player, just that he's not worked out as a punt returner yet.

DeAngelo Williams wasn't that great as a returner either. Or Gamble. Or countless other players who are more than capable in their other roles.
