Tampa does something new

The year after winning the NFC South, the Buccaneers finished with a WINNING record the following year. First time ever for the NFC South.

This is also the first season that no team in the NFC South finished with a losing record.

We didn't win the division in 2005 but Tampa were 4-12 in 06 so the statement still stands. I'm not sure a winning season counts much when you are 3rd in the division and sitting at home in January.

Interesting to see how the Panthers and Falcons fare in 2009. Neither team, in the history of each franchise has had two winning seasons in a row. Ever.

Yeah they had more chances than anyone to make the playoffs again this year, if they could have only managed to win even one game the entire month of Dec. and to top it all off they lost Caddy again too. Not what I would call a good year when it comes down to it.

I was rooting for Tampa Bay to tell you the truth. I'd rather have them in the playoffs then the Cowboys or Eagles. 3 NFC South teams in would be something special. Plus I fear the Eagles a lot more than the Bucs. I actually kinda feel sorry for the guys. Losing 4 straight must hurt. Now if it happened to the Falcons I would be laughing my ass off.
