They want D.Will this year, give up that 1st rounder

Why would you want to give up DWill who is proven for a rookie who isn't. That pick would cost more than DWill's next contract and who knows what you're getting.

It's like spending 10Gs on a lottery card when the top prize is 20G. Sure you may win something, but chances are it's not going to be anywhere near what the 10gs you spent.

Anyone that would trade in a sure thing for a lottery ticket is..... well, I better not say.

It's like buying a max prize winning lotto ticket of $150 for about $100.

However, you might get a fat 0 in return.. Draft picks are not always a sure thing and all college players don't thrive in the pro's.

Trading Dwill for a 1st round pick, after we put in the hard years and he's finally at 100% Pro level would be a serious :nono:

I would take Calvin Johnson for him straight-up. WR > RB these days.

WR only greater if the QB is greater..

RB relies say 90% on blocks to get past the 2 yard start, but doesn't need any help after that if he's great.

WR relies at least 50% on QB to even move the ball 1 yard.

Your only saying that because of the yards gained on average in the air vs the ground.

However the panthers record breaking running game changes all of that if the D is strong, You dont have to score alot if your ToP is higher than the other team and you do score when the time arrives. You know vs turn overs or 3 & outs that don't lead to field goals.

A balanced attack is the best in any war, with few injures and elite reinforcements.

I think one thing missing from pro sports is the fighting for your brother mentality! Foxy has that part and so do the panthers.. Trade Dwill and you might aswell rebuild and wait to see if your better than 500.

50% of them are not!

I think people forget that Stewart has been, IIRC, on the injury report and missed midweek practices every week since he's been in the NFL. I'm not too comfortable with him shouldering the load alone. And if we traded D-Will and Stew went down, we'd be f****d. Goodson may be a serviceable backup, but nothing more IMO. With the way the injury bug seems to constantly bite this team in the ass, I'm surprised so many are

so quick to even entertain trading away depth for draft projects.

Why would we ruin a good thing anyway?

Let's break up the best RB tandem that may have ever been. Yeah good plan.

Why don't people see that 34 and 28 feed off of each other to produce the results that we see?

Because that's not what the heads on SportsCenter talk about. Duh. :D
