Should've went to Vince.

What did he "come back" from? He was on the team the entire previous season.

He was benched, not injured.

That's like saying Alex Smith should be in the running, because all of a sudden, he started playing better....

VY was injured in Week 1 of the 2008 season thefuzz.

(09-07) 20:23 PDT — Vince Young was on crutches Sunday after spraining his left knee late in the Titans' 17-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher said his quarterback will have tests to determine the severity of the injury, but added that Young's knee eased up in the locker room.

"The biggest concern that I have right now, not knowing, I don't think it is serious about Vince," Fisher said. "We are going to do some studies, some tests on his knee."

Alex Smith while showing some improvement this season still isnt as proven as Vince. Vince came in off the bench this season and led Tenn. to more wins and has a far better winning percentage than him. Bad analogy.

Vince was hurt, not injured. He did not show up on IR, nor did he miss a significant amount of games because of the injury.

I am not so sure what "proven" means in this discussion, as it has nothing to do with Comeback Player of the Year awards.

It's not a bad analogy, it's me making a point, and you missing it.

I was clearly making the point that if you do not come off of a serious/season ending injury, you shouldn't be considered for the CBPOY award. What that means is that Alex nor Vince should be considered at all for it.

If Jake comes back next year and lights it up, that is not CBPOY award stuff...IMO. Now if Welker or Washington do, then it is deserved.

It's because VY is black isn't it. Why you gotta try and keep the black man down? White devils.

You obviously arent black. If you were you'd know nothing can hold 1 down. They are professional sports writers who envy the loyalty you give me as a reader Misty baby. You're always right on cue with no argument to be found.

He didnt play at all the entire year. He missed the remaining 2008 season.

Nor does Alex Smith but you brought him in the discussion. The argument was Vince came back from people like yourself not even believing he was an NFL QB, to making you all eat your words and leading the Titans to 8 wins in 09.

I see the point you are attempting to make. Just dont agree with it.

Bogus. The award is given to a player who overcomes adversity and poor performance. Randy Moss wasnt coming off injury in 07 when he won it.

Your opinion. If Jake comes back and lights up the world he definitely should be considered for it.

How do you know I'm not black? For all you know I'm a purple alien from outerspace.

Envy? No sir. You mistake my pity for envy. I pity that you have to look at everything as thought it's a race issue. That's no way to live life. All it does is breed more hate and suspicion.

For once you haven't mentioned or insinuated anything about race in a thread that you posted in, so congrats on that my friend.

KT, not playing because you got outplayed, and getting injured is not the same thing.

I have never said that he is not an NFL QB, I have however said that I would not want him playing the position on my team, if I had my choices.

I understand that you don't agree with me, the same as I don't agree with you, or the fact that Moss should have won the award in 2008. He "came back" because he thought that he was playing for a SB calibre team, not from injury.

Giving Young the award, same for Moss, kinda spits on the Steve Smiths, and Chad Pennington's of the NFL....just my opinion.

fug the race card and anyone ignorant enough to pull it and fug Vince Young, he sucks ass and doesn't deserve poo. Chris Johnson was the heart and soul of the Titans and the main reason the Titans started winning again, not Vince. That fuging race card, makes me sick. I can't recall the last time I heard white people complaing about not having a "WET" channel on T.V. or a "Miss White America" pageant. I didn't hear of white people cause an uproar when "White Men Can't Jump" was released. The race card is bush league, if anyone should be complaing at all in this country it should be the Native Americans.
