12-4 and finished tied with Saints for NFC South if that had happened.

hahaha, wow; you go from 8-8 to 12-4 eh? Wow. What if Moore would've played more games like he did at New England? He played like a pig there.

I'll grant you that Jake stayed in too long. Whether his troubles were physical or mental, he just wasn't getting it done this year. On one hand I admire Coach Fox's loyalty, but I think in this case it went too far. All of that aside, though, in hindsight I think it just wasn't in the cards this year. Between a never ending list of injuries, guys trying to implement a new defense, an often clueless special teams squad, and an offensive line that at times seemed to be mailing it in, we just weren't good enough this year. Sure, Jake stunk it up a lot. But some of those turnovers he's credited with weren't entirely on him. So what's past is past. I say suck it up and move on. The silver lining to me is the way the team played the last half of the season. Even in some of those second-half losses, we played some darn good football. I think we can't help but be optimistic for the 2010 season - at least, I am. <shrug>

Jake didn't cost us the playoffs, the decision to stick with him too long did. The Saints beat the Panthers in their house, a Delhomme led team, 30 to 20. Before they think they could've beat us in Carolina, see Dallas and Tampa. Yes, Carolina would be in the playoffs doing damage. :yesnod:
