its about when you peak though, and they are peaking late. doubt they would win the superbowl but could have done some NFC playoff damage.

I think you could make the case that had the QB switch been done earlier, Moore would be better also given more reps with first team and the chemistry which is needed.

The only point of your argument that is true is that yes, IF we had made the playoffs after finishing the way we did, we would be the most dangerous team in the NFC. Saints and Vikes have both fallen off. Packers/Cards mediocre at best. Cowboys, well we all know there playoff history. Leaving only the Eagles which we would have probably played in the Championship game. Regardless, this team played sluggish and slow the first 3-4 games of the season. It wasnt just Jake. There were question marks everywhere. Once Meeks system really took hold, other offenses were crippled and held to low scoring games, and the offense at least kept games close usually to loose late or sneak out wins. After Moore came in we became much more dominant on offense and generally beat down teams i.e. vikes, giants, and saints. But there are 16 games to determine a teams fate. When you dont show up until there are only 8 left, you have no business in the postseason.

I'll give you the Jets and Dolphins (Philly, which you forgot) but Kasay cost the team the Bills game and D-Will's fumble-six cost us the Saints' game. The defense cost us the Dallas game--the pick at the end just sealed their win.

This making a huge assumption that Moore was ready to step in and could have played to that level early in the season. It's really pointless to speculate at this point though. The season is over.

staticly D-Will's fumble cost us the Saints game, but if you remember the Play Calling by Fox/Davidson was horrendous and they were obviously calling plays around Delhomme to keep him from throwing INT's and manage a win. Place in a QB with some confidence and the play calling atleast should be different and more explosive.

Jake's INT's were atleast as costly as Kasay's missed FGs vs. Bills also.

Nah, that Bills game was all about those 4 picks Delhomme threw. Kasay helped a lil though. I blame the Saints game on John Fox and his new ultra-conservative gameplan in order to hide Delhomme. I have a hard time blaming the defense in the Dallas game...we held them to 0 points in the 1st half and our offense went totally blank in the 2nd half. We gave them every opportunity to score and come back.

The way I see it. Jake was a major factor in Philly, Jets, Dolphins, Bills, and Cowboys. Coaching was a big problem early this season as well as other problems such as lack of a receiver that can stretch the field.

I disagree we were a totally one dimensional team against the Saints. It's just that our run game is that good. The play calling was totally protecting Jake. Jake threw 3 INTs vs. Bills when we totally out produced them offensively.

I think we still lose the Eagles game with Moore in there. There were too many problems that game.
