We NEED a consistent #2/slot receiver so with Smith & Muhammad coming back I think either would be a good 3rd-4th rd pick with value since they are serviceable as returners. What do you guys think? We may bring Jarrett back after his performance this sunday but if he is released we could go after a bigger name but I'm not too high on taking a WR with our first pick in the 2nd round.

What exactly is wrong with Goodson and Kenny Moore being used in these capacities? Or even Stewart w/ DWill at halfback.

I'm all for getting a dynamic receiver like a Welker...but we've seen the play calling with regard to skill positions like WR/QB/RB from this coach. I don't know that we don't already have a skilled WR.

I agree if they can prove themselves capable in the offseason.

Problem is...do we not test them when it matters (regular season) until it's too late next year. We draft prior to training camp. The scouts have to be given marching orders. I don't know enough about what potential we have to make a decision and how they'd respond in real games. Fox has proven one thing...he'll make a decision DESPITE how players respond in real games.

I think they'll pretty much have to try out Goodson as a hybrid through camp, seeing as Sutton looks like he's got the #3 RB slot locked.

Moore will be in play for the #3/#4. They'll let Jackson try to shine in camp, too.

Smith has already said he's wanting to have a #1 brought in so he can tear it up underneath. I think we draft a WR pretty high, as none of the other guys mentioned is in any way a #1.

Outside of Dez Bryant...who's another #1 without going FA. And even going FA, who would be a solid #1.

Not even going to touch the draft possibilities right now.

In FA, the only realistic possibles for a #1 that I see are Marshall (headcase, would take a bunch to acquire him, zero chance we even try) and Bryant (some injury worries, tends to complain some). Bryant and Tampa make come to a deal, but it doesn't look likely right now.

I'd love to take a flier on Bryant, personally. When the guy is on and healthy, he's a beast. Let him mostly be your deep threat, let Smith be the Terminator version of Welker. He's the best YAC receiver in football and would show it.

Steve Smith look-a-like Golden Tate. Also, many believe Dez Bryant will slip due to off-the-field issues. Maybe we trade up to early 2nd round?

I hope not. I'm crossing my fingers that Fox/Hurney have a very short leash on draft trades this year with all the uncertainty as to their future. They've made a "win now" move two years running and haven't.
