Confusing a 40 year old mans mind vs confusing a young sharp stud are two different things...Hell as fast as AP runs past Favre on a hand off confuses him...go figure!

Hmmmmm.....did you watch Favre play at all this season?

107 QB rating, 4200 yards, 33 TD's, 7 INT's.

Yeah, hes really losing it.

I find it hilarious that when pro scouts say Fox had to "help" Meeks, everyone here goes ape-poo. But when the "rumor" started that Fox had to help Trgo, everyone not only believed believed it but took it upon themselves to preach to anyone who would listen just that "fact".

HaHa...I just love it!

I feel like sports writers often just make up their panthers information, because they have no idea what is going on in Carolina.

Most sensible post in this thread.

Fox was able this season to let the DC do his job, finally, unlike in years past.

Meeks did suck at Indy so I highly doubt a change in atmosphere made him a great DC...I believe Fox probably did take over the coaching of the D when it started to pick up! It was almost as bad as the Indy D at the beginning of the year! Coincidence?

it was the turn around he did in indy for the defense that allowed them to finally win a superbowl. for a long time, they had not defense and he finally got one put together. he may be slow, but he eventually assembles a strong D. he did it in indy, and he did it over the course of this season. with all starters back, i think next year we will see the fruits of his labor during the course of this season and be one of the top 5 defenses throughout the season.

Let's see here. Indy won a SB in the 2006 season, and their DC was Meeks. Indy just set a record with 7 staright seasons of at least 12 wins, Meeks was the DC for 6 of them. Making a lot of hay out of him leaving because a new coach took over is just nuts, new coaches tend to bring their own people into an organization. Meeks was a long time DC under Dungy. 'Nough said!

If Dungy ever decides to come back to coaching, I'll wager that Meeks will be one, if not THE one, of the candidates for DC on that team, if Meeks wants it.
