Gotta agree with this.

I'm really glad we don't have coaches and players throwing each other under the bus.

I just don't understand what exactly it is you people want from this organization. Finishing 8-8 when we had the hardest schedule in the NFL and the injuries we had was nothing short of miraculous.

You really believe the schedule and injuries are why we finished 8-8?

Okay maybe not this year but twice before the panthers have done something like that, and two years in a row. In 2006 they started 4-2 and finished 4-6 and in 2007 they started 4-2 and finished 3-7. And i don't care to hear about the injuries.

And if New York had lost Eli Manning after game 3 this year no one would be making a big deal about how they finished. You can look at the fact that during the stretch you named we didn't have our starting quarterback for 16 of the 32 games. It could have been much worst like it could have been this year.

Sure you don't want to look at injuries, no one arguing your side of the argument would. In 2007 we were 2-1 when jake went out. In 2006 before Jake got hurt we were 6-6 and still in the playoff hunt after losing 2 tough games.

But they were real and devasting especially losing your starting quarterback.

People keep saying fox has never loss more than 9 games in a season as if that's some sort of accomplishment. The panthers have done a nice job brainwashing the fans and the media into accepting mediocrity

How many teams over the past 8 years can say that? No one is accepting mediocrity only saying that the worst we do under Fox is to be average or finish in the middle. At best we are in the Superbowl. There is a big difference between liking average and never finishing below average.

Ok hot shot what about the other 13 games in 2006, most of which we were competing in yet we just couldn't finish off when we had Delhomme playing, or what about in 2007 when the team didn't even look very impressive against teams that finished a combined 15-33 in the first 3 weeks?

How about you Red Mage can you field this question and reveal all your limitless wisdom by explaining how injuries were the foremost reason for all of our struggles in 2006 and not lack of coaching adjustments?

Red Mage explain how the injuries are always the worst to us and not other teams and how no good team struggles with them quite like we do or stop bullshitting in my thread.

I don't care to see our front office, or Owner go off on the team to the media. What would be the point? To make a few fans happy cause he expressed his displeasure/disappointment in public?

I can get to be a pretty emotional guy. At times, going off on something or someone in public. In those cases, I always look back, and feel I should have handled it differently. You can get the point across to those who need it (which isn't the fans) without making an ass out of yourself in front of everybody.

believe it or not if you can be firm in your criticism without making a spectacle out of yourself it's actually a pretty good idea. John Mara did it the right way. He didn't field every question, he acted sincere and he didn't come off like a petulant child.

To make a few fans happy cause he expressed his displeasure/disappointment in public?

well Mara certainly felt the fans are owed an explanation and he's right.
