Breakout Player of the year?

Good thread. Pretty tough question. I try to answer, by choosing one, but all of them had moments when they kinda broke out. If Davis lasted, it woulda been him. But he didn't. I wouldn't say Matt has had a break out year

So that leaves Stew. This year he proved he might be the main man from now forward even with great talent in front of him

moore was impressive, but then again look at what he replaced. it would be tough to not look good compared to delhomme's decline.

i considered davis, not to take anything away from his efforts, but everyone who has filled in his position has looked good...not as good, but good. his position is the prime position in meeks's defense.

so i've narrowed it down to 2 people. the first being jonathan stewart. the kid wasted no time whatsoever solidifying himself as one of the top RBs in the league.

the second...brad hoover. seriously, when was the last time you saw hoover this involved in the offense and have this much fun? he took a snap from the wildcat position for christ's sake. imo, this was hoover's break out.

I would say Thomas Davis. Except to me his breakout year was last year. It seems like Beason and Davis have really been great for one another. Because Beason has clearly helped Davis with his understanding of the LB postion. And as a Miami fan, and a long time Beason Supporter. Beason has never seemingly played with the passion and excitement for the game until he got here and started playing with Davis who seems to me to be one of the most passionate players I have ever watched. It is Truly a pleasure wathing those two play alongside each other!

Davis was good before 2008...and IMO so was Stewart he just wasn't used as much

Schwartz did really well...but not enough to take over the position...

But for break out plays aka suprising plays coming from unsuspecting players easily in order IMO:

Moore, Martin, Sutton
