The more I listen to Fank and Buck on WFNZ

I completely agree with this, and god knows I have wanted Jake gone since '06...but HE MUST enter next season, training camp, AS THE STARTER because you cannot LOSE YOUR JOB DUE TO INJURY! Now, he may take first string snaps on day one of camp then Moore, or someone else, named starter but to my knowledge there is NO WAY, if Jake is on the team, he can enter training camp next season as anything other than the number one! Am I wrong on this?

There are about 13 million reason why he will be the starter going into next season; not to mention the deeply embedded man love from Fox...anyone that thinks HE WILL NOT go in as the starter needs to stop looking through rose colored glasses and realize this isn't the first time Jake has sucked A$$ and remained the starter! Face it the man starting now was THIRD on the DC at the beginning of the season! Fox doesn't seem to like Matt Much...sad but the proof has been there for a while now!

Admitting they made a 13 million dollar mistake may hurt them more than starting him, depending on if Smitty, can double trouble and bail Jake out like they have every other year until now!

You've lost your freaking mind

billionaires don't lose their lunch money because they lost a nickle bet. $13m is nothing to JR and nowhere near enough for him to start Jake over.

For those admiting there's no reason behind it but think will start anyway, think about it, the coaches aren't complete idiots and of for no other reason then to help them to the next job they won't start Jake.

I am really surprised there are this many who think he will start.

And in all seriousness if you honestly think Jake will start next season you need to have your head exaimind.

The whole reason I started this thread was because I thought Frank and Buck have lost they're minds and for me to turn around and see this many people say "yeah it's going to happen" while they themselves admit there's no reason for it is just wow

But how do you respond to those who say there WILL be a reason behind him starting in 2010?

Jake was our starter (while playing horribly) until he "injured" himself. So technically, he's still our starter. Moore did what he's paid to do...be a back up. Do we ALL know Moore is better and should start in 2010? Of course. But as they said on the show, it's all politics. The NFL is not cut and dry like we fans want it to be. You don't start the best player in every single situation. Hell, just look at Fox and his love for vets! Jake is still our starter. I can easily see Fox and JR with the mindset that Jake simply "had a bad year". But hey, if he screws up the first game of the year...and definitely again in game two...he's out, and Moore takes the team until the end of 2010. Again I'll point out that guys like Aaron Rodgers, Steve Young, and even Kyle Orton sat longer than they could have. Lovie Smith played Grossman way too long. Moore will simply have to wait out the politics of the QB position, which in our case has a lot to do with money. Until Jake screws up while "healthy" next season, he is our starter because he hasn't yet lost the job. We all know it's bogus...but I honestly feel that's the way it is.

Now, instead of calling me stupid and saying I've lost my mind, respond to that with some intelligence. Thanks.

wait a minute wait a minute. if you're not starting the player that gives you the best chace to win - are you really doing your job?

sure some instances are open for interpretation - coaches see practice in close positional battles. as well as maintaining locker room pecking order, i'd assume.

but in this case there is a clear starter and its matt moore. i think the "dont lose your job to injury" is more of a courtesy for the locker room, but do you think anyone on the team would jump ship if moore was named the starter? no way, more like the other way around.

I know Moore is the clear starter. I've agreed to that. I'm saying politics will allow Jake to remain the starter until he screws up again, because he was replaced "due to injury", not due to poor performance. There was a thread on here when Jake hurt his finger that said Fox said he would've started Jake had the doctors told him he could've played. We'd all like to think we know the real reason Moore started, but since nobody is in the locker room, all we can do is guess.

yes but wouldnt you agree that fox now has a little more evidence to consider than when he made that statement?

my guess is that the locker room is behind moore b/c he's winning. i'm not there, but just my guess.

We can all hope Fox breaks his track record and starts Moore. But his track record is long and very stubborn.
