I don't know why you guys think Brees' comment was so offensive to the Panthers. What did you expect him to say?

It's offensive because he is trying to downplay our victory. He's saying that the only reason we won is because their starters rested. My point is that it's pretty easy to talk trash if you never have to back it up. Imagine some guy came up to you and said, "I would kick your ass, but I don't want to get a black eye before my photoshoot. Consider yourself lucky that we aren't gonna fight, cuz if we did, I would win."

I expect someone who didn't play in a game to keep his mouth shut about what he thinks the outcome would have been if he had played.

Anyone else remember this quote from Brady before the superbowl? Reminds me of Brees' little quip. I wonder if Brees had the same poo eating grin Brady had on his face when he made that statement.

Ummmmm, that's because it is the only reason the Panthers won? Seems to me that it was a double digit win for the Saints when both teams played at relative full strength.
