Bills coaches remain under contract

Bills coaches have been informed they can (and should) seek other work, but they remain under contract with the team. For now.

A report earlier in the day indicated the staff had been fired, but that technically sounds premature. The official decision of coaches under contract will come from the next Bills head coach.

Interim head coach Perry Fewell will have an opportunity to get the job. He is set to interview with the team early this week.

It's possible the Bills wanted to help the coaches in their quest for work, as it never hurts a resume to avoid being fired. Special teams coordinator Bobby April, for one, figures to be a popular target elsewhere.

So on one hand, a guy that's one of the top STs coaches in the entire NFL.

On the other hand, a guy that's completely incompetent and shouldn't be coaching in the NFL at all.

We all need to pull some money together and hire a hitman to ice Crossman. That would take away some uncertainty.

God this is a gift wrapped up nicely with a bow on top just waiting for the Panthers, yet they aren't jumping on it. We have one of the worst ST coaches in the NFL. It's a no brainer.

if there is any way this can happen we need to do it.

the guy is the best. that was the only thing respectable about the bills. they are stoopid for letting him go.

the guy is going to be in heavy demand.

He's also coached for the Saints and Falcons. I'm not sure that would really give us a distinct advantage with special teams or anything, but -- it is what it is.
