The playoffs didn't fall into his lap.  He had to dig us out of a huge hole that Rhule created and our players were ready to run through a fire for Wilks.  And how tf do we find an offensive-based coach who is more conservative than a fuging defensive coach?🤣

And look how Wilks has the Niners defense looking.  Sometimes the problem isn't everyone else...  maybe the organization here is just fuged up.

That “old head” is doing pretty good with the SF defense.

Maybe what Smitty is trying to say without actually saying it is that Bryce is overthinking at the line. He killed a lot of Frank's 1st called plays and maybe he shouldn't have. Reading a defense is grey not black and white. Being good at processing can work against you sometimes when you over process and think yourself out of the best option.

I'm so tired of hearing about Wilks. He came from Rivera and you know how that ended. It would have ended the same way cause he's old and stubborn just like all these old heads. He also missed the playoffs when it fell into his lap. Y'all are looking for anything to justify what you're seeing. It's a rebuild. HELLO?

This was not sold as a rebuild. Owner and GM both said we would be competing for division titles this year.  In one breath you discredit Wilks as a Rivera disciple but Sean McDermott was a Rivera disciple too. He was cast away as a failed Jimmy Johnson disciple but McDermott has found plenty of success. Dominant defense and above anverage offense with a good QB.  The formula could have worked with Wilks in this weak division. Tampa is winning despite having an average at best QB.

No one else could have taken the 2022 Panthers a quarter into the season (given us an identity) and land us in the playoffs. The man was given lottery chances at best  to succeed and get the job. Wilks didn’t have a training camp to maximize his pieces or pickup players that would have helped us grow. Stop with the narrative it fell in his lap. He gambled with players that were not as good as Brady and Mike Evans and lost. The reality is Tepper and fans like yourself never would have been happy with Wilks even if we made the playoffs last year. The narrative would have been he hurt our draft status with a waisted year.

I bet you Wilks wouldn’t be 0-4 or if you include the preseason (0-7) if he was coaching this team with the resources allocated to Reich.

I hear him. But now imagine Steve Smith the player playing with a QB that can't effectively throw a ball on an NFL field more than about 10-15 yards. How patient is that gonna look?

You just need to stop saying/intimating---whatever you want to call it---that Bryce can't throw down-field, because it's not true. His lack of down-field throws is a failure of coaching.

Wrong. His failure of throwing down field is the lack of breakaway receivers to get down field for him to pass them to. None of our receivers can get any separation. Now Sam D can pass to those ghost receivers down field wearing the opposing team jersey to appease you.

Yeah, when Bryce tried to throw downfield last game to a receiver who was held and slowed down and the ball still came up horrible short that was super confidence inspiring.

Receivers flailing into trailing DBs and getting automatic flags on underthrown deep balls is becoming commonplace in today's NFL. Maybe that needs to become our deep threat strategy.

Wasn’t that the play @TheCasillas showed Young getting hit as he threw it during his review?

Everything is a conspiracy theory. Even Steve Smith, who y’all love but now he’s an corporate mouthpiece on his own personal channel? How can Steve simultaneously an impulsive hothead, and a corp plant?

Look I love him but he's on the payroll now. One the best things Tepper's done here was making a pointed effort to rebuild that bridge. Smith's not going to throw his guy under the bus.

He's also not the hothead he was. The folks who can't see past the man he was twenty years ago are telling on themselves.

The first two games Bryce was actually overthrowing WRs deep. You’ve turned into one of the worst posters over your hate for Bryce. It’s embarrassing.
