Getcha bread'n'milk ready...

I got a chuckle this morning on my way to Pineville on 485. I was on the inner loop and passed the brine truck on the outer loop spraying the road. You could tell that it was going relatively slow - probably 40 or 45 - maybe not even that fast. There was a partner truck in the other lane to keep cars from passing them. So that meant behind them traffic was backed up for literally miles and miles. The cars immediately behind those trucks were getting sprayed to death. I believe that if I were one of those cars, I would have pulled over . I wondered whether the trucks would pull off at an exit eventually to let traffic clear or if they would just continue to block it until they got to the end.

New NWS forecast is... odd

Thursday Night

Snow likely or a chance of rain in the evening... then a chance of snow after midnight. Light snow accumulation possible. Cold with lows in the mid 20s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 60 percent.

Looks like this system is linking up with the gulf sooner than expected... looks like I might get my wish... http://weather.unisys.com/images/sat_sfc_map_loop.html
