It's the nature of the beast. Jake has polarised opinion for a while now & now with his future at starter looking bleaker than it ever has those it has exposed Moore as a viable replacement.

Be in no doubt that if Moore starts to play like Jake has this season folk will be putting the boot into him as well.

As I said, it's the nature of the beast.

Even though I didn't like it, I understand why some people villified him while he was starting because being angry can help induce change. However, it has changed. Moore has earned the starting job. Fans should treat Jake with respect because he is the most successful quarterback in Panthers history. He should always be welcomed in Pantherland. I wouldn't mind him being on the bench next year as he has experience and knows the players and system. If for some reason Moore is injured, after I cry helplessly for the loss of the Panthers starting QB, I will muster the strength to cheer Jake onto the field. Then I will get down on my knees ,and pray, for the 2003-2005 Jake to show up just for the few plays, quarters, or games that he is needed. Kinda like Mel Clark in Angels in the Outfield.

Had 2-3 long passes he put in receivers hands been caught his numbers would have been impressive. He made some really good throws. Some really tough throws.

No it isn't. Moore is, and has always been, bigger, faster, has a better arm, is more mobile, and does a lot of other things better not related to athleticism that you probably won't admit.

Still to early to tell. Let us not forget how good Derek Anderson looked in 07'.

I do want Moore to start next year, but I think we still need to Draft another project (Moore once upon a time was consider this). The good thing is it allows us to get a later round guy that we are putting less risk into. My pick would be John Skelton out of Fordham in the 3rd or 4th.

Bigger & faster, yes. But is Moore better than Jake before his fall this season? That's a big question right now. I prefer we see Moore play a full season as a starter before I think he is better than Jake in his career, even though he is better than him right now. But not in his career compare to Jake's though.

It would be a Derek Anderson situation if we had only seen him start partially in one season but we've seen him, twice now, play in an end-season stretch. I want to believe.
