Here's a question for all those buckling into their seats on the MAtt Moore bandwagon.

What do you do in the (unlikely) event that Jake returns next year and shows himself to be the better of the 2 during the 2010 NFL preseason?

Honestly, I'm in to support the QB who I think gives us the best chance to win next season. I don't see anyone coming out of college that would be better, I don't see any possible FAs yet (note the yet) that would be better for this team, and I don't see how Jake is anything but done as of now.

I ____________________ do hereby proclaim Matt Moore to be my Carolina Panthers quarterback of the future. For 5 games he has shown everything that a winning QB in this league needs to show, all the while winning 80% of his games.

I am no longer afraid to proclaim him our franchise QB of the future.

HE gives us the best chance to win.

I'm still on the fence as of now. If he starts next year and plays well the first quarter of the season, then I'll sign. He looked suspect yesterday against a banged up, second string (some of them) Saints defense. I realize the Panthers got the victory, but I'm still not convinced Moore is the franchise QB and AM convinced he's played out his potential. In other words, I don't see him getting leaps and bounds better than he is now. The Moore we see is what we get and personally I want a true franchise QB. We seldomly have done that in Carolina, so we will have to make due with what QBs are currnetly on the roster considering Fox ismore than likely coming back.

Moore should get the chance to vie for the the starting job, but I doubt he'll be dubbed the uncontested starter in camp without Jake at least getting the chance to earn his role back.

I think he should be the starter over anybody else we currently have, and any rook we may or may not draft.
