Well i didnt see this posted anywhere but if it is oh well sorry.

Jonathan Stewart left Sunday's game with an Achilles injury.

He had 16 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown before exiting. Stewart has dealt with heel problems since his final season at Oregon, but there's no way to know if this is a serious aggravation. The Panthers wouldn't risk pushing him to return in the fourth quarter with a two-score lead and nothing to play for. Hopefully John Fox will give some sort of update on Monday. Jan. 3 - 3:41 pm et

I think Fox just decided to sit him after Stewart eclipsed the 1,100 yard mark and set the record.

he looked hurt coming off the field after that last play. i didn't know what it was but i don't remember seeing him limp much. he was just walking carefully.

Wouldn't surprise me if Stewart had some work done on that tendon in the next couple of weeks. I've had an injured achillies tendon before, it was a strain, and it took several years before it quit hurting whenever I went for a run. If he has a partial tear it will not heal on its own and will need some work done on it to prevent a blowout like Kemo had.
