From what I saw, the only reasoning for the flag was how Captain used his arm on Meachem and he ended up looking "hurt".

Still a BS call since it took almost ten seconds for it to be called.

The only thing I can think of is that call for hitting a "defenseless" player that's almost never called. Why did that ref bend over Meachum before dropping the flag? Players get the wind knocked out of them all the time without flags being thrown. IMO great acting job.

If someone could post a link to a clip, I'd appreciate it. At BoA the replay didn't show the hit.

It's just going to happen sometimes if you have a physical secondary. It seems like it happens to us every year. I remember some Buc wideout got lit up with a perfectly legal highlight reel hit from Marquand Manuel in the 2007 finale and he got flagged for unnecessary roughness.

They did not even throw the flag until the little pussy Saints' WR did not get up.

The call came down from Goodell for the zebras to protect "Their Beloved Saints".

It was a very bad call. Then again what really is Unnecessary Roughness. Its really just up to the Refs and the league to say what is and whats not too much of a hit. Its all BS if you ask me.

yeh that and the maintaining posession calls can be so subjective. i remember steve smith making a TD catch and having it called back b/c the ball moved an inch after he landed. or like the DJ catch last game that they had to review. the dude had three steps on the feild of play and crossed the plain, at some point the ball has to be put down. stupid rule.
