Jordan Gross blows his knee out in camp. Then what?

I said sign a free agent T

umm ok, again... how do sign a good, not a great LT who is on the market competing with other teams and have his salary low enough, plus the huge cap hit trading Gross would cost and still have spent less to free up the cap space given that Gross could have made more to begin with?
