Trade Gross, Let Schwartz Start Next Year

Differance Gross never said he didn't want too be here Pep did. This is a stupid thread a good LT can play into and after late 30ies. Why trade gross when you have built a great line. People on this board always want to get rid of players for picks. Which is always a gamble you give up a All Pro for a gamble. How smart is that?

But Gross has been inconsistent this year. Key, I said inconsistent, not sorry. Did yall forget about that. Look at his contract, that plays a key too. Age does too for the future

Like I said with our injuries this year, we proved we can still beast

Young 2 huge Tackles on the side sets our future, and helps us now with money

You don't trade Jordan Gross

1) franchise LT

2) run team

3) trade not needed

4) you won't get poo

bad idea. Let's f**k up our line on a run-based team because suddenly we're insanely desperate for moar wide receivers? We need more wider receivers! When the hell did we, or any team, start valuing picks for unproven WRs over Franchise LTs? That's right, never. Not going to happen.

"Schwartz going to suck? LOL" He hasn't even done enough to be considered good yet, nor is he even playing the same position as Gross. That's a stupid ide-oh wait! Matt Moore was undrafted and he played well? That must mean every low-round to undrafted player on our squad can automatically start! Oh my god, trade Gross now!!

You are batshit insane, Beast and nobody is going to agree with you. Give up.

If there so good then how come in their losses more than 25 points were put up by their oppenents.

Pittsburgh- 27

Carolina- 26

Chicago- 36

Arizona- 30

As for the Giants just look at some of their losses, I will leave it at that.

Remember your saying they gave up all those points but you forget that those points were because of turnovers that were taken back for a TD.

Ill prove you wrong every way about those four games

Pitts gave up 4 sacks and only had 175 yards passing and 107 rushing

also farve played bad and gave up a int for a td.

Chicago and Arizona out played the vikings.

Giants and vikings have the 9th and 10th ranked D in total yards, Vikings have the most sacks of any D and Giants rank 15th.

Why can't you just give credit where it is due? Our O-linemen have played great just realize it.

I got a few people agreeing with me Mega. Too bad yall sooo stuck on the present and dont think about the future at all

My plan does make sense for the future

Same thing yall doing to Schwartz is the same thing most posters thought about Moore, look how that turned out. Gross has been inconsistent this year. Yall can let that All-Pro crap go. What did Belichick do in the beginning of the year, trade Seymour right. And why did he do it? Thought about the future, and realized when to let go and develop young talent

Schwartz does have talent

I'm sorry Beaston you seem too be a pro scout. So what Inconsistent play did you see? If I may ask? Other him getting hurt leading the way for 2 1000 yard backs and playing with a bad QB. What did he do wrong in your view.

I am thinking about the future. The only difference is that I have realistic expectations. Suggesting we trade away our Franchise LT just because you get hard-ons for drafted wide receivers is just stupid.

our big runs have been off that right side again today, not left, you know, the one with schwartz. he was a good road grater in college, and is showing it now in the nfl.

people want to crown moore as the qb of the future after 4 games, well schwartz is kicking ass with otah out, just like moore. now he isnt as good as otah in the passing game imo, but he is blowing people up with vincent today. otah is another beast in the run game and could be a suitable LT if we didnt have gross.

tallented depth (that can play as well as schwartz has) is nice to have, but we have starting WR issues that this depth could be used to fill the hole via a trade. you are not going to get any cap flex or value out of schwartz compared to gross. you will eat the signing bonus, but can free up space for a FA, and still get a pick out of it.

actually i like this idea more than trading a RB, as the cap flexability could be more valuable than just the pick we get back alone. d will is on a rookie contract, thats lower end of the 1st round, not a top 5 rookie contract. he is a steal at the price, and wouldnt free up cap space like gross moving could.

You're not thinking about it. And seem to be underrating our o-line coach

And Gross has been inconsistent in the passing game this year. He said so himself. Running game, he do his thing. He has value now, and yall not entertaining the thought of getting something for it. Thats ok, your opinion

Schwartz has upside. Same size as Otah and can run block well too. I personally like the idea, also by looking at the list of free agents. Big mistake is to lose him in the future by keeping Gross out there as starter

You're overrating our O-line coach. Why not trade away all our lineman that have any value? Kalil is one of the best centers in the game. I bet we could get something good for him. It's okay though, Bernardeu is ready. It doesn't matter that he doesn't play the same position or that he's low-drafted. Our o-line coach can turn anybody into a hall of famer and Moore was undrafted, look at him.

I think that covers everything.

REALLY

REALLY!

Wow.... Kalil is young. Gross will be 30 soon. Age doesnt mean a thing anymore huh? Guess not. Neither do contracts too SMH. Yall funny man. Yall dont even think about trading away talent. Lets keep them till they die

Trade Pep though. I knew it would be some who wouldn't even think about the good that could come out of it. Automatic no

How is he overrating our O-line coach? for the past two years we have had great success with our O-line. In the past few years I have watched us draft and sign many O-linemen and watch them do great under us. look in the past years at the players our coach has got from other teams and made them work? look at Vincent and Bridges. Now think of some of the O-linemen we couldn't afford to keep this year that was our back up. Geoff Hangartner and Frank Omiyale are currently starters right now. Also we have pretty much drafted all of our starting O linemen so give the guy some credit for that

People put too much emphasis on draft picks. You don't go trading your stars to have a CHANCE at a good player in draft. 1st rounders are high risk high reward. You pay them a lot and they are completely unproven.

Why not trade Schwartz for a 3rd/4th or very late 2nd rounder(if we're lucky)?

Where is your link? Again why do we need too trade him? The tackle position can play up to and past 35. RB seem too lose step after 30 not Olinemen. Plus Otah has been hurt more then gross so that's your 1st mistake. Otah has had more problem in pass protection and you want too put him on the QB blind side. How smart is that?
