Why are they scared to use him? Everytime He touches the ball he makes plays! Rhule wouldnt use Him and now Frank. They both use Him for a play or two then He is gone.

Because he is a proven horrible actual WR that can’t run routes and despite the athletic ability can’t get open.

so they scheme him up a couple screens or routes a game.

He isn't the only player being used poorly in the offense. Not even close.

It's because Frank Reich is not an NFL caliber offensive coordinator. Not in the past 20 years anyway.

Worst part is we might have one on staff that literally holds that title… and we aren’t getting to see what he can do.

slight side note I’d love to see what Joe Brady would do with this team to scheme Bryce success if he had full control of the offense.

Yeah, I would love to turn the reigns over to Brown. I don't even care if it gets worse if we do. What would it matter? Losing by 7-8 and 20+ doesn't fuging make a difference to me at this point. I'll gamble on some sort of change.

I've told y'all before, Shenault has always had trouble tracking the ball. That's a pretty big deal for a receiver. We have actual receivers with no such shortcoming. It's also why so many of his receptions are short and they basically have turned him into a quasi RB.

I mean, all we do is throw screens and checkdowns. Might as well throw more of them to a dangerous YAC guy.

    • If you think Smith's hating on McMillian or tall recievers you didn't watch the video. He may have been guilty of that in the past but he says outright that his problem is people see a tall reciever and tend to overlook everything else about him. He was complimentary and believes the guy will pan out. His only real criticism was comparing Tetairoa to himself actually, saying like he felt like he took plays off when he wasn't the primary target.
    • I loved this draft. I think we have 3 starters out our first three picks. Maybe they take a year to develop but I don’t see them taking long.    I think Etiene is going to be a good back up. He’s only 20 so he has a lot to improve on.  I think we will see him be used on special teams this year. He won’t get many reps unless an injury happens because we got two 1,000 yard rb in front of him. I could see Ransom starting but I think he will probably be a back up, maybe playing special teams? I think hes probably got the lowest ceiling of all our drafted players. Cam Jackson will be a back up, probably not a lot of snaps this year. Could end up being a solid player for us.   I love the Mitchell Evans pick. He’s got potential to be our top TE. He had two different injuries that set him back in college but I think if he was healthy he would have been one of the top TE in the draft. I have even more faith in him because ND makes great tight ends. I don’t know if he will play much this year unless an injury happens though. Probably just a blocking TE this year.
