Is this the end of the S2?

This is what happens when you try to outsmart the eye test. This team’s leadership bought into the the notion that cognition testing is as or more important than physical measurables. if Young doesn’t turn it around and Stroud continues to excel, we will be the poster child for failed trade-up scenarios.

Analytics...remember, Tepper bought into this hook, line and sinker.  Stocks and bonds don't have intangibles like humans.  You can't manage athletes like stock portfolio.

Also, calling your shot through 4 games of any of these QB's career is laughable.

Again, if he doesn’t turn it around, we will be the example of failure to properly assess a player’s skills…again. Only this time the stakes were sky high.

Right but this is through 4 games. Maybe Stroud never pans out. Maybe Young. Maybe Richardson. It's 4 games.

Scheme and supporting casts matter a lot in this league.

Our guards being injured is really haunting our O this season. I am reserving judgement on Bryce, but holy fk our conservative offense is boring af to watch. I'd rather him sling it and turn the ball over and learn then having the play calling we had for PJ Walker pre-Atlanta game that indicates you have ZERO faith in the guy at QB.

I think everyone accepts this.  It's not enlightening to point out we're four games in.

The discussions that's being had is the optics week in/out of these players, discussions you'd completely expect on a NFL message board.  The picture is one of continuous evolution, and phrases like "He had IT from day one" are born from guys like Stroud that you know, had IT since day one.  Sure he has to have success a lot longer to form credibility but you can't knock the guy so far.  The same isn't true for Bryce.  He needs to find IT and continue to find it for the same credibility.  The only thing we know through four games, it that for many reasons Stroud and Richardson are out of the gate much better than Bryce.

Mahomes sat for a year. Rodgers rode pine for multiple. Manning stunk it up in year one. Brees was trending bust after his first stop with the Chargers. Huddle legend Trevor Lawrence was cheap his first season(and honestly doesn't look like he is trending towards elite).

Sometimes it just doesn't work out the way it looks it was going to.

Totally agree.  Just saying it shouldn't stop us from discussing what's happening in real time right in front of our eyes.  We can admire and criticize all while holding reservations that the now of things isn't the absolute.

No doubt Stroud looks great now but let's calm down about 4 game career.

Kyle Allen isn't headed to the HOF

This is a very fair point. Allen started out 5-0 with 9 TDs, no picks and solid yards, completion percentage, yards per attempt, etc. Then the wheels completely fell off and it was clear he was a questionable long term back up let alone the above average starter we thought/hoped he'd be. I'm not convinced on Stroud just like I'm not convinced Bryce it a complete bust, however it's looking really really bad for BY and us so far.

The Texans haven’t played their starting offensive line all year. And their best one, Tunsil, has been inactive almost every week. We can’t use the offensive line as an excuse.

We don’t need to crown anyone after four games, however, all we can base things off of for these rookie QBs is the games they actually have played. And so far, Stroud and Richardson are 1-2 with Bryce at 3.
