Things that need to happen:

No more sudden death overtime. Do it like the college game.

15 yard penalty for pass interference. Do it like the college game.

Bring back the Halo rule. Cap'n needs all the help he can get.

ESPN the Rag talked alot about rule changes.

Shoot, they rules they have now ensure that if you have an elite QB, you're WAY ahead of everyone else. That wasn't always so. I think teams staying undefeated very late into the season is no accident, because of that. I'm not sure about the pass interference being only 15 yards. I'm afraid that will encourage such penalties, especially late in a game, on long passes. The whole idea of PI was the catch would PROBABLY have been made without the contact.

I don't want to see the OT rule changed to the college type. I think both treams should have an actual possession or a defined OPPORTUNITY at a possesssion in OT. I can offer scenarios that best explains that. Suppose the 'Cats take the opening kickoff of OT in for a TD. On the ensuing kickoff, the Saints fumble and we recover. They've satisfied the 'opportunity at a possession requirement'. Game over. Let's say the 'Cats take the opening KO, and on the first play, our QB throws an INT. But while running with the INT (they thus have possession), the DB is hit and fumbles, and we recover. Both teams have thus had their opportunity, it's back to who scores first. Here's a dicier one: we have to KO to start OT. But we pull one out of our rears and do an onside kick, which we recover. Guess what? It's first team to score wins, BOTH teams have satisfied the opportunity requirement, because it's up to the receiving team to actually RECEIVE the ball and ensure their own possession. That's what I'd like to see.

The rule I'd MOST like to see adopted from college is how they do challenges and reviews. Leave the refs and officials on the field, let someone upstairs do the reviewing and make the call. That should speed up games by a few minutes, but the league may very well want that break precisley because of the time involved. In other words, more time for commercials. But I'd like that change..
