I just don't see the Niners winning the SB with Purdy. He's a solid game manager and they can make that work given their immense talent across the roster and a great offensive mind in Shanahan, but ultimately I think it will be the hurdle they can't overcome.

What is the purpose here?  To show Herbert can throw deep and short?  The fact that you'd even drop Herbert's pass chart as if he and Bryce are almost on the level is a bit numbing.

3/5 ...not sure where you are counting the 6...  but that isnt the point im attempting to share here. 

The point is that short passes are part of the game and it's exactly what the Chargers did the week before. We dont have the deep threats like the Chargers have.... If we had Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Josh Palmer .. we have vastly different results. It was also helps that Chargers have a strong interior offensive line. 

Even the vikings DE said that they pushing in the interior and disrupting the QB. Thats an effective game plan and an easy way to win football games. If the QB cant step up to throw... then he can't throw big.

Maybe it was 3/5 and the one I'm counting as the 6th on that chart was 19 yards and 35 inches. 

The point is that you have to THREATEN deep and we don't. If you don't make the D respect that you can burn them deep it's going to be really tough to move the football.

DJ Chark is literally a deep ball specialist.

The excuses really need to stop. This chart isn't showing what you think. It's quite the opposite. The threat of the deep ball opens up opportunities underneath. You don't have to chuck it 20+ a dozen times a game. But you do have to show the willingness to do it and show some effectiveness at doing it to make the D respect it.

It’s 4 of 6. Two on the 20 line and one left and one right. Then 2 more incompletions on the right.

Herbert three 30% behind the LOS and 10-15% 20+. Bryce was 50% behind the LOS and 0% 20+. They aren’t comparable.
