If big changes are coming concerning the coaching staff, it will be quick. Maybe not by Monday, but within the first couple of weeks. I believe JR knows what he wants to do and if it includes coaching, that will happen quickly. If not, we have another year of fox and friends and his contract will expire. Players will take a little more time due to the effect their salaries will have on the cap. No need to hurry up on players.

I wonder if Dan Morgan would like to get into coaching?

I think it's most likely the staff is in place. Even if changes were to happen they wouldn't happen immediately.

I think that the people expecting/wanting Fox to leave don't fully understand how disastrous that could become. Him leaving won't be a Monday morning, "hey, JR, go F yourself" conversation. It would be a drawn out process of talking it out in the mountains and getting offers from other teams if they looked around, of Carolina trying to match and watching other coaches go by the wayside. They wouldn't let Fox go without a fight, certainly.

By the time Trgovac and other coaches left, it was the 24th of January. Meeks was hired the 26th. We had open coaching positions into 13 February.

Our last game had been the 28th of December.

So, think of the number of teams that'll ****** up coaches between now and then, and what might be left a month from now.

Also there's a game this weekend, that seems like something people would be interested in.

Nothing that we will know about. If Richardson let Fox look around we wont know until about it for 2-3 weeks. Thats if he leaves. If nothing happens in 3 weeks Fox will stay.

I can't see anything happening before January ends. Has Fox and the other coaches been given a deadline for responding to the 'offer' of staying for next season? If Fox chooses not to return, is the team obligated to pay him? My guess is if he doesn't return, it will be because of a negotiation, a buyout if you will. Maybe him and the team splits the difference on what he would have collected, and he would be free to sign elsewhere.
