In the US, Charlotte pro teams have gone the second-most years without a championship

These stats are misleading. You can't count the Bobcats years without a championship and the SAME years the Panthers went without one as two separate years. For example...last year the Panthers and Bobcats both didn't win. That should count as one calendar year Charlotte didn't win a championship, not two.

That's silly. 33 years ago is what we stand at, right?

1977

How much were Hornets tickets in 77? The whole process should be how long a CITY has gone without a championship, and for Charlotte it has been since the Hornets started playing ball.

I agree. Cause some places are missing sports, like Charlotte without an MLB and NHL team, while other places have as many as 8 pro teams (New York  ) It just isn't fair like that.

ummmm no.

its a city based statistic. you cant count a team from Raleigh. hundreds of miles away.......just because the florida marlins won a world series in 2003, doesnt mean jacksonville should get credit. doesnt work like that.

When there's one team for the entire state for each of the major professional sports, and when 2/3 of the teams take the name of the region (not city) they represent, then yes it does.
