Enjoyed smacking with you guys this year. This will be my last post. Can't wait until next year when we go 16-0. Thought I would leave you with some final thoughts both good and bad about the game and the Panthers. See you around draft week!

1) Deangelo Williams is the best back in the NFL. If I was your coach I would give him a breather now and then but there is no comparison between him and Stewart

2) John Kasey is money. Say what you want about the Giants game he has beaten the Saints so many times in the last 10 years that it makes me sick.

3) Drew Brees is the best QB in the NFL

4) Steve Smith is the best WR in the NFL

5) John Fox's conservative game plan is going to be what prevents you from making it to the Super Bowl.

6) If Fox's play calling doesn't stop you then Jake D. will. I am not sure what has happened to him but he looks like a guy that just came in the league. If it wasn't for Smith I know of at least 5 late game passes that would have been picked off.

7) Your Defense Coordinator is questionable at best. You can't let Brees just sit back and find open men. He will kill you like he did today.

8) Brees comments after the game shows why he is a great person, leader and deserves all the praise he receives:

"When I sit back and look at it, that record's stood for a long time. One of greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game owns it," Brees said, adding he wasn't sure setting a new mark while his team fell to 8-8 was "necessarily the way that record deserves to be broken. That's why I'm able to accept the fact it didn't happen."

3) Drew Brees is the best QB in the NFL

Don't know about that, but he's pretty damn good. I think It's Jimmy Johnson that said you never blitz the great ones. Put Brees in that list thank you :-)

5) John Fox's conservative game plan is going to be what prevents you from making it to the Super Bowl.

still think we have a legit chance of winning it all and I am not saying it because I am a fan. The Eagles are kinda worrying me righ about now though. We can take the G-men, Falcons or Vikings

It's not much of Foxie's game planning, it's the lack of creativity on offense once we build a lead. We need to learn to adjust on offense. Also, I don't care if Jake throws 3 pics, but we need to have more confidence in the passing game before we are put in a position where Jake has to throw into coverage..We have other capable targets...Let's use them man...

7) Your Defense Coordinator is questionable at best. You can't let Brees just sit back and find open men. He will kill you like he did today.

Can't disagree about Turdo

1) I thought that was Reggie Bush?

2) yep

3) Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Rivers is up there. Brees makes it into the discussion but he isn't "THE" best.

4) yep

5) It's served us well so far, actually within 1 wind gust from home field throughout the playoffs. Here is your choice, a wide open playbook that gets a QB accolades but the team finishes 8-8 and out of the playoffs or a conservative approach that keeps you plodding along finishing 12-4 with a first round bye in the playoffs. Think about it until camp opens.

6) It's a partnership, one that came out on top of the Saints twice this year.

7) What's the question about the DC? He can't let Brees just sit back and find open men? It sure looks to me like what he did against Brees worked. Sure Drew collected some yardage as he did all year. What was the final score? When is that next game of yours?

8) Brees comments after the game sound like he didn't reach the record and now is covering disappointment. You know, kind of like blaming the season on injuires.

to terminate the potential for any more incessant Jake Delhomme gushing before it gets started...again, consider this.

A Jake-less Smitty still makes the pro bowl, still gets a hundred catches, and still is a superstar.

A Smitty-less Jake is a Jake on the bench staring at retirement several years ago.

Uh. In 2007 without Jake, Smitty did not make the pro bowl, did not get any records.

In the year without Smitty, Jake was still winning games.

Your logic for those statements, if there is any, escapes me.

You don't even believe yourself do you? Single out a segment of history and make a feeble slap at fact if you wish but I think you got the point based off of that flimsy attempt at a retort that resulted in miserable failure.

If you actually think Jake would have a better career without Smitty than Smitty would have without Jake please respond. If not...go back to bed.

Drew Brees is not the best QB in the NFL for two reasons:

1- His home/road splits. Until he can improve on the road, the Saints will not progress any further.

2- He hasn't won anything.

Brees chasing Marino is very fitting, indeed. Both QBs could put up ungodly numbers, but at the end of the year, they are watching the playoffs from the comfort of their living rooms.

Trgovac does need to go, but it's apparent that Fox's conservative style *could be* holding the OC and DC in check. The Saints picked up the blitzes, for the most part, because the defense is so damned predictable. It's playoff time, boys, time to shake things up a bit.

Making general statements as if, just because you type them, they are fact and truth.

Then slamming anyone who has the audacity to ask a question. Which means you doubted what you typed to begin with.

You remain the a$$ you always have been.

Sorry. It looks like I have drawn the wrong type of fan here. And I told you not to respond unless, well you obviously read it so that IN FACT makes you look pretty stupid.

I wish I could tell you that you are the same thing you have always been or whatever but frankly I do not recognize your SN and therefore have no frame of reference for you. But since you have branded yourself as the person who believes Smitty without Jake would not be as good as Jake without Smitty, I just may remember you in the future.

After all, how often does someone say something that stupid.

..that last question was rhetorical.
