Writers picking sides in QB debate

Does anyone else get the feeling that Fox and co. make/made things weird for the backup QBs behind Jake. Even before Jake had his most horrific season ever, all we ever heard about the backups when there was doubt about JDs play was "so and so doesn't know the system" or "so and so isn't ready" or "...doesn't know the plays".

I always liked the phrase "if he was the guy, he'd be the guy" that so many of the fan base threw around. Hell, I think I might have been one of them.

Does anyone remember when Gantt was revered on this board as the "only" carolina panthers beat writer.

Man, did he lose steam fast.

He now comes across as arrogant and biased. Unfortunate that he's taken this turn, becuase I used to enjoy reading his stuff with respect to the panthers.

Gantt hasn't changed but the board sentiment has so he appears out on the fringe. All a matter of perspective.

I really like Darin, have had many conversations with him. He knows his stuff and is more dedicated than any other local guy out there. Always first in, last out. Was the only reporter to beat me to the field first day of camp.

I keep hearing "we need to see more", Yeah, Matt Moore! This guy has elevated everyone's play and this looks like a totally different team. I thought this would be a better team after the QB change, but I didnt expect this. If the change was made earlier, this is a team no one would want to face in the playoffs. (If only we could play the Bills and Jets again.) How long do we need to hear about 2003?
