I'm asking again what exactly Derrick Brown does

Wasn't he drafted in the top 7 because of his presence in the interior? Why is our run defense still so porous every single year? That's a significant investment into a player

Derrick Brown is a LE in our defense.. not sure we can blame him  for our run games woes.. However, Derrick Brown has 20 tackles on the season... which is great for a lineman.  He is on pace for 113 tackles this season.

DB is absolutely the least of this team’s worries. I see him making tackles all over the field and he’s one of the only guys out there playing all out every snap.

Half of these tackles are when he's tackling someone from behind because they've already shot past the LOS

Not saying he isn't good but he hasn't come anywhere close to living up to his draft status

he very much living up to his draft status. I just think you are picking the wrong player to be skeptical about. He is our best defensive player, closely followed by Luvu.

I wasn't a big fan of derrick brown earlier in his career especially after the grocery store worker comment but he's really improved to our best defensive player

brown needs another partner to help him like how star and KK were together. was hoping Tuttle be that guy but he's been average so far
