Dude was so depressed in Carolina he lost his hair from all the stress.

Now he's back rejuvenated playing for a well respected franchise. I'm not surprised one bit.

CMC never wanted to be traded. He spoke on that.  Shocked I think was his wording.

and we traded him to ensure a tank.  And that didn’t even work.  Everything this front office does turns to poo.  It’s not just Rhule.  The touch of death is still alive and well at BOA.

If your team is going 0-17 anyway that almost doesn't matter. I say go On a firesale and get as much ammo as possible to rebuild the franchise which is bigger than one decent defensive end

I dont love that Burns is one of the only players we have worth a damn. But unfortunately you can't rebuild an entire team from scratch. The salary cap is like $250 million. You fill out your entire team with a bunch of rookie contracts and you basically have to overpay a bunch of cast-off JAG free agents just to hit the salary floor since great players almost never make it to free agency. I'd rather overpay for a proven commodity at the second most important position when we're flush with cash than have a couple more darts to throw at the draft board when our track record has been god awful there.

It's kind of funny to think we basically traded him for Mingo, DJ Johnson and Jammie Robinson. And not even that exactly cause Mingo was our own 2nd, not the one from SF. I'm not sure he would be transforming this team right now but he would've made a nice safety blanket when Bryce is running for his life every other play.

We basically got DJ Johnson. It was a late 2nd, so not really close to Minho’s pick value. We also didn’t get Robinson. The 5th we got is in 2024, basically to replace the 5th we gave for Mayfield. The 2nd was a throw in on Young.

We basically pissed away CMC and probably DJ Moore as well.

I’m not a 49er fan at all but that’s who I am rooting for now that we are about to be 0-6, just because of CMC.

Was assured numerous times RBs were a dime a dozen and we could easily find a cheaper replacement just as competent in FA or the draft.

Someine just like Miles Sanders.

Meanwhile dude has more TDs today than our entire offense under Bryce Young lol.

Trading him away was the first of many mistakes made in an off-season where we absolutely could not afford any.

Thank goodness we made that trade so we could have the ammo needed to still trade away DJ Moore for #1 and move up in the draft for DJ Johnson. Oh and don't forget the cap flexibility to make sure we could re-sign Burns who *checks notes* still isn't re-signes...

I'm genuinely happy for CMC. He was my FAVORITE Panther after Cam. Even when we sucked, he made watching fun. You knew he was going to put up a highlight every game. Happy he got to go to the most RB friendly scheme with Shanahan instead of watching him being ran up the gut and ruined with us.

This is unfortunately the correct answer. If we drafted CJ he’d be 0-4 here and Bryce would be tearing it up in Houston.

Fitt has stolen whatever passion I had for this Panthers team. I didn't even watch today's game live. Fitt doesn't understand even the most common basic principles of team building and the rebuilding process. Never mind his disastrous multi-season ruining Sam Darnold trade. That is in the past. I'm talking about what he's done recently.

1.) When facing a rebuild that involves bringing in a rookie QB you want to trade your defensive vets. That is because you want an OFFENSE that is already in place so that you can evaluate the new rookie QB quickly. You NEVER want to drop a rookie QB into a bad offense if that can be avoided. So to ensure that the offense is juiced up and ready to go you unload the defensive vets for draft picks. That is critical. The Rams made us an offer, 2 first round picks and a second round pick for Burns. FItt, who is a moron, turned his nose up at that offer. I nearly lost my mind in the trade thread at the time. We should have traded Derrick Brown as well if we could find a fair deal.

2.) If you trade your defensive vets, then you don't have to trade CMC, or DJ Moore. You KEEP offensive weapons for your rookie QB who will DESPERATELY need them. Now Young is CRYING after the games. Yes crying, and he was doing it before in the locker room but it was unseen. This is what happens when your GM doesn't have a clue in @@#$% what he's doing. He doesn't have a damn clue. And this isn't hindsight 20/20, I said at the time this is what we needed to do. Fitt has to go.

3.) Fitt FAILED to sign a #1 WR for his botched pick Bryce Young. So Young doesn't even have a #1 to the throw the ball to, and if you say Chark is the answer then I'm revoking your fan card. We have a 13 point scoring poop offense and defensive players wanting their mega PAYDAY $$$$$$$ on a rookie QB led team! Idiotic! Fitt has to GOOOOOO!

Respectfully disagree. If you give the MVP to anyone on the 49ers it's Kyle Shanahan. McCaffrey looks like a new man and is having the career resurgence other former Panthers have had because of Shanahan and he has been motivated and also reinvigorated by being removed from the team. It's just like when we cut Steve Smith. I don't think you get the 49ers version of CMC or the Ravens version of 89 without the trade or the release. Both were burned out by the awfulness of the Panthers by the end.

    • He made some excellent throws but he always has made some excellent throws here and there. I don't know what to think, which is what I was apprehensive about. Is he going to have a decent downfield game? Because okay Legette dropped one, but someone was giving stats prior to the bye or during it where he had two downfield completions and one of them was the jump ball that is just launched and fingers are crossed that our guy comes down with it, and yesterday we saw that again. The Russell Wilson school of downfield passing.  I don't feel like that is sustainable, but at the same time you have to do Something to make the defense understand they have to defend that downfield throws. Like i said, confused.  I guess I'm going to review the game for myself and look closely at his mechanics and stuff because if he actually fixed that stuff it explains the better throws. And that has been my biggest objection, or what I see as the thing that makes or breaks his chances, that unorthodox dropback and tippy toe action and not having his feet set which limits velocity etc etc.
    • The negative Nancy in me (or objective?) says that they had a bye week to prepare for the Chiefs. However, it’s one thing to have a good plan and it’s another to actually execute it. For all the flack he’s received (from me as well), Bryce seemingly has put his head down and worked his tail off and his play is giving me hope. The first 18-game Bryce showed no progression whatsoever. He gets benched, comes back, and has shown steady progress every week he has started. I think I’m starting to see what the Bryce lovers and unconditional defenders were saying all along, and I hope he can show that on a regular basis for the sake of our QB1 position.
    • Yeah, we could still very well end up 4-13 with the 2nd pick.   I think LVR has the inside track for 1, with only a JAX team as a team on docket that could be beatable.
