eh no more than most slightly above average QBs. (not talking about this year). And I don't mind 15 int. seasons if you are getting me 24-28 tds.

His attempts are way down this year (321) and he has thrown more interceptions this year then ever.

my god guys calm down. I want Jake as gone as much as anybody but theres nothing wrong with remember the good times. Everybody' so hellbent on insulting him which isn't productive. If you disagree don't post at all, we'e FANS and your acting like we're JR himself. I actually think it's better to remember the good times because it's not fair to Jake that Fox never pulled him until his career was ruined.

On of my fond moments would be Superbowl and the vikings 05 game.

Thank you. There are too many assholes around here that just want to kick the guy while he's down.

Nope, Ive been kicking Jake for a long time. When he is off the team then I will remember him.

Yeah, and now you're creaming your jeans because you are finally right, after being wrong for years. You can put up all the stats you want, but Jake Delhomme was a pretty damn good QB from 03 through 05. Hell, weren't you also one of the guys who wanted to trade for Cutler, who has 26 INT's (more than Delhomme ever had in a season) and a worse winning percentage than Delhomme had in his first three years as a starter?

Delhomme's time is over, and this past year was awful, but even with that in mind it's silly to act like he never did anything good for the Panthers.

Most of the best remembered moments in Panther history, including the team's only Super Bowl appearance, have come with Delhomme under center. Critics can kibitz all they want, but that's a simple fact. He's owed a lot of thanks for everything he`s done for the team.

Make no mistake, his time as a starter should most definitely be over. I can see him perhaps as a backup, but Delhomme should not be given a shot at starting again. That would be a huge mistake.

That said, there's no point denying he's been good for the team, and his name should be prominent in Panther history for a long time to come.

Exactly. He has accomplished more than any other QB in this teams brief history and I have no respect for any of these goobers that are coming out of the woodwork to claim that Delhomme was never any good and are bragging about how they were right about that all along.

I dont know why you guys are crying about Delhomme being done.....Hell, he gets to retire early and make more money than any of us on this board will make. The dude is not gonna go into a depression hole and wonder how he will support his family. If I sucked at my job, and they fire me, and payed me the rest of the money they owed my.....AWESOME!!

Oh please. Jake has always been a mediocre QB dont make him a martyr. He was just lucky enough to be on a team that saw no need to upgrade the QB position. You can settle for mediocrocy I want the team to be great.

Hell, we all want the team to be great, and they were in 03 and 05. Delhomme wasn't the reason we didn't go to another Superbowl in 05 either. Hell, there are only a small handful of great QB's to be had anyway, but Jake was better than mediocre his first three years, before the surgery. That is a fact. It's not his fault that Steve Smith was his only play maker for so long, and most of those INT's you keep pointing out came as a result of that nagging little problem.

This right here; especially the bold.
