Local writers tip toeing around Jake...

Times change so do people. The relationship will be different next year. Get with the times instead of harping on the past.

times change......people generally don't. Not when it comes to those type traits we are talking about. Fox has claimed Jake should be starting right now if not injured......no point wishing for Fox to change.

going back to the QB situation heading into training camp '08...jake was coming back from an injury. does anyone remember how well he was doing prior to the injury? he was looking at a huge year. he was on target and on fire. he came back from that injury and tommy john surgery by all accounts healthy as can be. i, along with many, watched his arm closely and saw no signs of weakness. there was little reason to believe that his job should be in jeopardy. he was the unquestioned starter going into training camp. only way that moore would have had a shot was if jake was hurting.

going into this next year...the stronger of the two starters is by far moore. had jake been not so horrible when he went down and had moore not looked much better than jake, there might be some question about who the starter should be.

the truth of the matter is jake was doing incredibly bad when he got his finger hurt and started missing games. moore, after stepping in, has been the best QB of the year. going into OTAs and training camp he should be considered the starting QB. yes, there should be competition but it's his job to lose now. not jake's...it's up to jake to win it back. you can't just look at the immediate future, either. you have to look ahead. if you have a shot of a long term solution at QB in moore, that's going to give him the advantage of a 35 year old jake coming off of a 7 TD/18 INT year. jake is going to have to flat out blow moore out of the water and moore is going to have to completely suck it up for jake to land that starting job back.

My God. If some of y'all hate Gantt so damn much, just stop reading his articles and be done with it. It's not like he's actually making these decisions anyway...he's just giving you his opinion on what he thinks might happen, for cryin out loud.

I'm sure it would have been a better article if he had just said that Jake sucks and he needs to be strung up by his nuts though, right?

Fine, but some of these people are acting as if everything Gantt said is already happening and that it's gonna ruin their lives. Those people need to take a pill or something.

it's all perspective.

Damn, nothing worse than writers on the team payroll.

When Gantt isn't being told what to write by the team, he's on the huddle stealing topics because he's too much of a dumbshit to come up with his own material. To think, I was once proud to have my quote featured on his piece of poo website. Gantt should learn what the word "shame" means and get some. I don't know how anybody can argue that this douchebag has any credibility left.

Anyone who saw the Moore of the last five quarters coming down the tracks in August, please contact me in regards to investment opportunities at the track.

Anyone who saw Delhomme turning into a complete and utter pumpkin back in August is lying to themselves, preferring to latch onto one game's worth of evidence as opposed to six year's worth.

Right, nobody saw this coming. OH WAIT, the majority of people on this site had been saying both things since last year. F'ing hack.
